California Trip (Day 17)

Monday morning at Buena Park and waiting for the bus... I was on my way to LAX. What am I doing? I'm eating fries. About to take-off now. "Bye-bye LA." After a little more than 2 hours, we began to descend to the host city of the 2010 Winter Olympics. I've never seen this before! Pretty cool. The MOMMIETRON is the epitome of reliability. You'll never be able to file this girl under 'FLAKEY'. She came to the airport to meet me, just like she said. She's so cute! Big thanks to Becky and Allan for my stay in the O.C. and to everyone else who made my California trip so enjoyable!!!

California Trip (Day 16)

The sun was shining today in Allan and Becky's neighbourhood! It's fitting since it's my last day here. I'm leaving for Vancouver tomorrow. I took the bus to Disneyland! But this time, I came here to check-out Downtown Disney. I heard about this place, but I've never been. It's interesting enough. I didn't bother eating here though. I'm not falling for their overpriced food. I did buy a mug for the MOMMIETRON, then I took off. I did get something to eat at the Anaheim GardenWalk. Looks like this mall is pretty new. There's still a few stores waiting to be opened. Waiting for the bus back... Back at the house, Yoda was naked! Awww... He's tired now.

California Trip (Day 15)

Oh boy, Becky was making breakfast this morning! What a way to start the day. Yoda wanted some too. I rode the Metro downtown. Downtown Los Angeles... Inside the Los Angeles Central Library... I rode the bus through Beverly Hills. You can see the sign if you look closely at this photo. That's the Westwood Federal Building... I caught another bus and arrived at this place were everyone had to take this tram up to... the Getty Center!!! Finally here. There goes the tram back down the hill. This place was magnificent. It was so grand. The sun was going down, so I toured the outside first. The garden here was not to be missed. I never realized how popular this place was. I kept thinking of Fatty when I was here. Fatty would have loved this garden. The Central Garden is awesome! The spectacular view of the city from here... Santa Monica and the rest of the beaches are down there. PBO spotted! Time to look at some paintings. Hey, there's that ass again! Pretty girl. As long as the paintings aren't borrowed, you can take photos of them. I'd do her. I gotta get me a pair of wings. I like this one. Justice is being guided by a flame to wreak revenge on the murderer. It's dark outside now. This sculpture depicts Archangel Michael casting out the rebellious angels from heaven. This one is cool. It's got Perseus holding Medusa's severed head towards his adversaries in the club and turning them into stone. Seems fitting with all the movies like "Clash of the Titans" and "Percy Jackson" coming out soon. A girl and her doggie... I loved this bust of Belisarius. Bust of a PBO... A regatta, reminds me of the BVI. More boats... Another girl with a dog... Passing outside again... Self-portraits... Entering the Decorative Arts Level... It's hard to believe this was all hand-carved from wood! This is not IKEA. This bed reminds me of the Popa Fatt residence. This bed would look good in a pimp pad. "What is this?" I thought. Ah... I see. All this furniture was making me think of Lila. I dig the sun's face. Just try to deliver these furniture into a condo in Yaletown. Beautiful tapestries here... I was getting lost in this place. A fancy writing desk... This was one crazy ass clock. A double-sided writing desk assumed to have been used by accountants... A pretty centrepiece... Melt these and you can make silver bullets to kill werewolves. Rad! Reminds me of the Ark of the Covenant. Cool sculptures... "Hey Bud, have you seen Gandalf?" PBO on the right! These horsies remind me of Dr. Nick Kleider. Neptune... Seriously, who takes the time to make such a thing? Dude! Saturn is eating one of his kids?!? Okay, now the furniture is beginning to scare me. I'm outta here! It's pretty here at night. More paintings... Horsie!!! Sailboats!!! Another horsie! It was time to go. The Getty Center is certainly an impressive facility. I felt I rushed through it though. I'm going to visit this place again when I return. It's well worth another look!

$treet$ of Plenty

Misha and Fatty's documentary "Streets of Plenty" premiered at the Oxford Film Festival this weekend! Fatty even had an interview with CBC last Friday about their production. Click here to watch their film. I'm so proud of my friends and their creation. It's a very interesting look at our city of Vancouver.

California Trip (Day 14)

Together again with Master Yoda... "Good boy..." He tried to kiss me right after he licked his privates. You can see Allan on the right doing some research online. Time to go shopping for... bikes! The Fuji Obey... Man, I still admire this fixie. This is the new Fuji Feather. And holy shit, this is the Masi Speciale Fixed Ultimate! It's fucken pretty! The company is only releasing a limited number of these. It's got the USC colours. We eventually got hungry, so we stopped by Lee's Sandwiches. "Don't worry Al, you're not in the photo," I told him. Vietnamese Sandwiches and Thai Iced Tea... Later in the evening, Becky made Rice Krispie Squares for everyone! I think I had 4 or 5 of them. Brother and sister watching "Pokemon" on Youtube...

California Trip (Day 13)

Here's the view from Edwina's doorstep again. We walked over to the local Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf to start off the day. After walking around Melrose Avenue, it was time to part ways with Edwina. She gave me a ride to Santa Monica before going to her work. Big thanks to her for putting me up at her place for a few days and for fulfilling a lot of my requests on my visit!!! Here's my Metro TAP Card! This is what they use here to get around on transit. It's a refillable rider's card. You can even add credit to it online! I finally arrived at my destination, the Getty Villa! Admission is free. The villa's Herb Garden... The Outer Peristyle... The Getty Villa is modeled after the Villa dei Papiri. It's so beautiful here. The Inner Peristyle... I began checking-out the museum pieces. I thought this was a toilet at first. Check it out, ancient action figures! There's a cafe up there. The Outdoor Theatre... The Museum Entrance... You can see all the way to the East Garden from here. I've washed a few dishes in my day. Some more action figures! Impressive, but where's the Horn of Gondor? I was having fun taking photos here. Inside the Temple of Herakles... The East Garden... This was J. Paul Getty's original Malibu estate. It overlooks the museum. The exhibits were on the second floor, but nobody is allowed to take photos there. On top of the Outdoor Theatre... Back to the Herb Garden... Sadly, J. Paul Getty died before the construction of the villa was completed. He never even had a chance to walk through it. The walkway of the Outer Peristyle... Don't be messin'. You can see the beach from here. The sign by this statue encouraged patrons to touch her. You can bet I did just that. I grabbed a good hold of her ass before I left! Now, that guy must have a good view from his place. The EdRocker has left the building. I went crazy taking photos by the beach. I can't help, but envy the people that live here. It was time to leave Malibu. It was time to head back to Allan and Becky's place.

California Trip (Day 12)

So we went to "The Price is Right" this morning as planned, but after all was done we had nothing to show for except for our name tags. It was just killing us that we couldn't bring any cameras and cellphones to the studio. Chalk this one up to experience, I guess. After the show's taping, Edwina and I walked along Melrose Avenue again. But then we decided to take the car and go a little further down the street. This area to be exact. It's pretty fancy in this part of town. We decided to get something to eat at Urth Caffe. We found a nice spot outside in the shade. This was my Honey Vanilla Latte. Eddie and I shared a Tuna Sandwich, but got different desserts. I had an awesome Pumpkin Pie! Edwina got this Chocolate Cake. Edwina and the Urth Caffe... The EdRocker and the Urth Caffe... Can you see what I see? PBOs!!!
