The Afghan Horsemen Restaurant

While transporting Edwina's bike to her new place, I ran into Critical Mass well underway. Luckily I was on a bike which made crossing this rally easier. They all thought I was a blocker. LOL! As RT joked, the planets finally aligned and we were all able to go to the Afghan Horsemen for dinner! We had the room where you sit on your bum. Michael looking through the menu... Our server, Afsoun helping him out... These were awesome! They're called Pakawra (Batter Fried Potatoes with Chaka Dip). I want some more just looking at it. The 3 Dip Combo... I ordered their Beef Shish Kebab. Mike had the Aushak (Afghan Ravioli). For dessert, I had the Milk Pudding. The others had Baghlava and Ice Cream with Pistachios. In that small cup was Mike's Turkish Coffee. Man, that's a hairy arm! For our entertainment, we had a belly dancer come into our room! And she brought a sword! I helped her stand on her drum. She got some of the dudes to dance with her. And taught them a few steps... It was my turn, so I gave Mike my camera to take photos. She tried to get my belly to move too. She's awesome! I made sure to tip her. Her name is Shivaun. What a smackeroo! I love this place! They're located at 202-1833 Anderson Street (2nd Floor), Vancouver, BC. They're by the entrance of Granville Island. I'm serious! The food was delicious and I definitely enjoyed the entertainment. I want to go back now!!! On the way back to the car, Michael got his feet wet or should I say, dirty. At the Skytrain station, I bumped into this Staffordshire Terrier! This cute puppy's name is Olie.

Waves & Laughs

I met-up with Hercy this morning to head over to the Kitsilano Pool. Once again, it was another hot day. Hercy tanning... Some shots of the scenery... Hercy by the slide... Not too packed at this time of the day. Hercy finally went down the slide. LOL! Hercy with her favourite floatation device... "Mine, mine, mine?" Stepping out of the pool... My turn to go in. I just kept diving in because it was so fun. Eventually, a bunch of kids got in on the action too. Hercy with that blue board again... No blue board... Hercy and the youngins... Profile shot... We left after 4 hours. In the evening, I went with another group of friends to Yuk Yuk's. Lindsay, Krista, and Matthew... It was Krista that won free tickets for tonight's show, so she invited us to join. Thanks Krista!!! Nick with his parents... Matthew and I shared this plate of Nachos.
