Hangin' with the Carsons

Here's Penny the Italian Greyhound! And this is Poppy, the newest addition! She's a little timid and shy compared to Penny. So this is how you keep Penny to stay still, by rubbing her belly. Alesha got her to jump-up high. Here's Krista preparing the Mashed Potatoes! She and Matthew invited Alesha and me over for a barbecue. They grilled us Rib Eyes, my favourite! Big thanks to them for having us over!!! When we were done eating, we watched a movie. Penny and Poppy found solace on the sofa behind Alesha. Key Lime Pie and a Grilled Peach for dessert! Awww, Alesha's got a new friend. Later in the evening, I went down to English Bay with Matthew and Krista to watch the fireworks finale. Alesha didn't bother coming along because she had already seen a performance and didn't want to go home late. Getting on transit after the show, truly is a hassle. Once again, Steve and Sabine invited people over to their apartment, so we could enjoy the view from their balcony. Merci beaucoup!!! Let the show begin! I was able to get better photos this time. I fooled around with my camera's shutter settings. The results in my opinion were an improvement. I just kept it on 'auto' settings the last time. We loved it when the big ones exploded because you could totally feel it! It's awesome when they fill the sky with light. Every time I see two blow-up like this, I think of boobs. The end was too hard to photograph. It was as if the sky got filled with gold dust! Taking the Skytrain back home... Hangin' with the Carsons is fun!!!

On Location at Port Moody

Hey, I've (Showbiz Management) been here before! Fawn (Hollywood North Extras), Bryan (JR Talent Inc.), and I (Showbiz Management) inside Heritage Woods Secondary School this morning... At first, I (Showbiz Management) didn't even recognize Bryan (JR Talent Inc.) until he approached me. The last time I saw him was 3 years ago when we worked together on "Iron Road" out in Kamloops and Kelowna! He lives in Vancouver now. The always cool, Sukh (Urban Casting)... Vaughn (DC5), me (Showbiz Management), Wanda (DC5), and Alex (Local Color)... Look what happened to Wanda's wrist! She shattered a bone in her wrist when she crashed her motorcycle trying to avoid a dog on the street. Apparently, the dog's owner watched the whole thing go down and never even provided assistance! She just walked away while Wanda laid on the street. From an insurance point of view, it's better to hit the animal instead of avoiding it. That way you have proof when you file a claim. But if I was faced with the same situation, I would have done the same thing Wanda did. I just love doggies! Our wranglers, Tim and Brynn with Sean (DC5), Christian (DC5), and Barry (DC5)... Posing with Sally (Urban Casting) and the stealthy Christian (DC5)... Separated at birth?!? Kevin and Bryan (JR Talent Inc.) could be brothers! Freda! Todd (Showbiz Management) and Tracie (Showbiz Management)... After we wrapped, Phoenix (Local Color) and I grabbed some sushi at Nagano. Oh yeah! As Phoenix says, "This is the life of an actor." LOL! Green Tea Ice Cream for dessert... Production: Click the entry's title. Type of Call: Cattle, 50 Background. Length of Call: 4 1/4 hours. In the evening, I watched "Salt" and was surprisingly entertained. The movie is really good! Big thanks to Tim for buying!!!

Lunch and a Movie

After picking-up my first couple of cheques from ShowBiz Management, Alesha and I had lunch at Swiss Chalet. Oh boy, Lemon Meringue Pie for dessert! When we finished our meal, we went downtown and took photos of some buildings. Alesha in front of the Marine Building... Stepping into the revolving doors... The Art Deco of this structure is simply awesome! It's been used as a film location many times. As we walked along the seawall in Coal Harbour, we saw this heron!
We finally arrived at our final destination, Ceperley Park in Stanley Park. The West End Business Improvement Association hosted the last night of the summer for Dinner & a Movie. They played the original "Karate Kid"! It was so much fun watching it here. They should schedule more of these evenings.
