Brunch in Lonsdale

Who do these nails belong to?
Romney!!!  She suggested we go to the Moodyville Cafe today for brunch.  You can always tell how good a place is by their line-up and this one had one alright, but I was prepared.  ;-)  Man, you don't know how much I've missed this cute face at the gym!  :-)
After we parted ways, I stepped into Big Pete's Collectibles only to witness this huge geekfest!  I was in and out like the wind.  ;-)

Gratitude to Romney for brunch!!!  :-)

MPPIA - 'Town Hall' Industry Forum

Save BC Film, the MPPIA, and We Create BC held our Town Hall Meeting tonight at North Shore Studios.
The attendance at the event was incredible to say the least!
There were so many people in Stage 7 that Stage 1 had to be opened to house the overflow and they watched via satellite!
There's our flag!
Seriously, this is one impressive showing of unemployment in our industry.
All of us were here hoping to find answers to save our jobs.

We we're on Global News!  (5th row wearing a red scarf)
The meeting begins...
Todd and I in attendance...
Gratitude to Shaun for getting us seats!!!  :-)
"Ohhh, that's a clapper."
At the end of all the announcements,
microphones were opened for a Q & A session.
Some good ideas were shared.  Hopefully, they can be implemented and make a difference in our industry's future.
Of course, it was great to see a bunch of familiar faces here!  :-)

Please visit these sites for more information: Save BC Film, MPPIA, and We Create BC.

Big thanks to all the people that volunteered their time and equipment to host our meeting!!!  :-)

Fatty's Birthday Brunch

Well, I decided to check out the Lululemon weekend sale at BC Place after all.  Since it was the last day of three, there were no long line-ups and the prices were reduced even further!  For men, the special was any 4 items for $100.
After a quick shopping spree, I took advantage of a free massage that was offered to all of the customers!
I ended-up buying 3 cycling pants and a hoodie.  Of course, I dropped by a JJ Bean to celebrate my acquisition.  ;-)
Eventually, I met-up with Lila and Fatty and we bussed over to Heirloom because I promised them brunch!
It just so happened that Tara and a couple of her BCIT alumni were eating here too!
Photobombed by the Popa Fatt twice!!  LOL!
I couldn't stop raving about the Bennys here, so they decided to try them too.  The lovers were not disappointed.  :-)
After our meal, we walked down to Granville Island.
There were some people here buying crabs and all the discards were being taken by seals!
There's a seal and a heron in this one.
Big thanks to Lila and Fatty for the Mocha and Eclair!!!  :-)
WTF?!?  Is this book about me?!?  ;-)

First Ride of the Year

Meet Otto!  He just happened to be walking around with his dad at today's rendezvous location.
Just as planned, Kenji and I went out for a ride this afternoon!
I installed the white wheels back on MOMO.
She also has some new handlebar tape!
The ninja was hungry,
so Kenji suggested we hit the Pirate Pub.
A good call because the day got sunny, the patio had plenty of room, and there was a lot to look at from here!  ;-)
Here comes the food!
Another good call, their House Burger!
It was my first time trying out my newly installed SPDs!
It took a bit of getting used to them at first,
but I think I got the hang of them already!
I guess I can thank all the spin classes for the practice.  ;-)
Gratitude to Kenji for his unique photos!!!  :-)
After Kenji and I parted ways, I dropped by Shawn and Sarah's place to visit my Shirra!
I love this cat!  :-)
Eventually, it was time to head home.  I must admit, I do take this city for granted.  ;-)
