DJ Tanner in the House!

After my workout, I decided to grab a bite to eat at Meat & Bread.  And who do I bump into?  Erwin aka DJ Tanner!  He's been in town from Calgary since Sunday, but has to fly back home tonight.  It was good to see my fellow baldie, even if it was only for a few minutes.  LOL!

Romney Bites into Meat & Bread

After taking yoga and a spin class at the Steve Nash Sports Club, I ran into Romney outside!  Talk about perfect timing, we were both a little hungry, so I suggested Meat & Bread's Porchetta Sandwich.  Our next mission: Sweet Carrie's Pavlova!  ;-)

Porchetta, Mochas, and Crepe

The Porchetta Sandwich from Meat & Bread...
In the evening, the Sanchez Brothers met me at JJ Bean!
I was told this old Lab, Annie has Cancer and doesn't have too long to live.  She reminds me of my Monroe.  :-(
Hilda loves the Mochas here too!  ;-)
After parting with the Calgary peeps, I met-up with Zulu and Lila at Canada Place.  Lila had to cradle our little baby because a woman accidentally stepped on his foot.  :-(
Gratitude to Birdie for buying me this French Toast Crepe from Cafe Crepe!!!  :-)

A 10k and More for Porchetta

Well, I basically lived at the Steve Nash Sports Club today.  This morning I started the day off with a 10k run around Stanley Park, tried out Romney's new Barre Bootcamp class at noon, and met-up with Niloo for Zumba in the late afternoon!  I do all these activities, so I can afford to eat things...
such as the Porchetta Sandwich at Meat & Bread.  It's fucken awesome!!!  :-)

Meat & Bread

I was hungry after the gym, so I decided to check-out the new second location of Meat & Bread.  I guess not too many people know about this place because their Porchetta hadn't run out yet when I got there.  Woohoo!  :-)
LOL!  Mark came by to meet me here too.
Oh look, it's Mya!  She's grown quite a bit, but the Frenchie is still very cute.  :-)

Big thanks to Tedi for the photo!!!

Back on Track

After working-out, I decided to grab a bite at Meat & Bread.  This is their Meatball Sandwich and it's quite delicious.  Originally, I wanted the Porcheta, but they ran out.  Still, this was a great alternative.
Woohoo!  I got this in the mail today.  I think I like this colour much better.  ;-)
Anyways, this evening we were back at the Richmond Ice Centre.
Nick, Brian, and Boris were our number one scoring line.
Boris bagged one tonight!
My line scored a couple too.  I actually got one in with a slapshot!  Honestly, I felt much better on my skates tonight.  It's amazing what a difference sharper skates make in your play.
Boo!  Time to get off the ice.  :-(

A Day-off with Elizabeth

I met-up with Elizabeth this morning at this cool-looking building, the Flack Block.
She had to conduct an interview with Shark Truth founder, Claudia Li for her documentary project.  This was actually quite interesting because Claudia's non-profit organization is trying to raise awareness amongst us that the practice of shark finning is inhumane, damaging to the ocean ecosystem, and should be banned all together.  I totally support this cause, so I donated $25 CAD to them on their website: www.sharktruth.com.  I get a shirt too from my donation, like that yellow one Claudia's wearing!

HELP SAVE HARRY!  :-(
I just love this old elevator shaft!
They also have a great view of the Dominion Building from their office.

Victory Square and the BC Hydro Head Office...
The Sun Tower and the Edgett Building...
After we finished the interview, Elizabeth and I walked over to Meat & Bread for lunch!
 Elizabeth was buying, yay!!!
Seriously, look at that Roast Pork.  It usually runs out pretty fast too!
I guess because it gets pretty busy here during lunch.
There it is, the Porchetta Sandwich and a Victorian Lemonade!
For a treat, Elizabeth introduced to me, Cookies of Course.  They bake awesome cookies here!
We also went by Occupy Vancouver because Elizabeth hadn't seen it in person yet.

Gratitude to Elizabeth for lunch and dessert!!!

Then I went to JJ Bean to film Dan's project "Hidden Camera Jedis".

Thanks for the Mocha, Dan!!!
In the evening, I walked over to the Popa Fatt residence after my workout.  On the way, I snapped this shot of Robson Square.

Great job on your first Quiche, Lila!!!

Lunch with Mike

I got a call from Mike after my workout, so I met-up with him to get a bite to eat. First, we tried Meat & Bread, but they were out of their Porchetta, so we drove elsewhere. You gotta love his ride. We decided to check-out Nicli Antica Pizzeria because Rich said it was good here. I learned the term 'gentrification' from Mike today. ;-) Screw cola! We shared a Margherita Pizza and it was quite delicious! Definitely worth another visit. :-)

This Will Be My Spin Class

"One Less Car"
Since Dawnia's spin class is cancelled tomorrow because of the long weekend, I decided to make my own riding session today. Plus, I finally changed MOMO's rear-wheel to all-white, so I thought today would be a good day to de-virginize it. ;-) Kenji took a little break from work and rode around with me in Gastown. He brought me to Meat & Bread for the first time! I asked the cook, "What are you gonna do with all that crispy skin there?"
He replied, "I'm gonna put it in the sandwich."
I immediately said, "I'll have one of those too!"
It's called the Prochetta and it was good. Kenji eventually had to go back to work, so I biked over to the Lost Lagoon. MOMO and I hung around here for awhile. Once I got the call, I met-up with Fatty and Lila at Third Beach. I'm gonna have to show Lila and Fatty how to balance rocks someday. Fatburger for Fatty, Lila, and me! They bought me a Hawaiian Bacon Cheeseburger!
Thanks guys!!!
