I went down to the
River Rock Casino Resort in
Richmond this morning to play a little
Texas Hold'em Poker. It was actually snowing when I arrived!
It's been slow in the film industry, so I had a chance to wake-up for the
Early Bird Poker Tournament today.
They have them from
Sunday through Friday at 10:00 am. Registration starts at
9:00 am and they have
110 seats available. The entry fee is
$30 and you start off with
1500 worth in chips. They raise the blinds every
15 minutes, so the action picks up fast. It's not as busy during the weekdays, but apparently their Sundays are just packed! There were
67 competitors today, but I came in
28th. Not bad for someone that's been away for over a year, eh?
