Our Last Day on the Island

Look who's here. It's Opa! He took the morning ferry here this morning. Oh, look what's baking in the oven! Cookies by Julia! Nicholas having a chat with his Opa... More baking by Julia! Onion bread... Cheese... Arnie was ready for lunch. "Oh Gregory, you make a mean soup," said Julia. Opa got this Christmas cake from a friend. After lunch, we went for a little walk. We took a closer look at the straw house this time. Beautiful woodwork in here. Looks like a shower is being built here. Checking out the view from here... Apparently, this is where the 'Honesty Cabinet' is going to be placed. At least, that's what I think they called it. We continued our way down to Port Washington. The last time I was here, it was night. There's Popa Fett. This shot almost looks fake. The resident tugboat... Julia, our baker extraordinaire... Looking a little weathered these days... Julia and Gregory, our beloved hostess and host... Taken by Julia... Mae Moore's wall around her place... Time to bid farewell. This guy is going places! Leaving Otter Bay... On our way to Swartz Bay... Oh, there they are! Lila and I on the lookout... Look what we got for Christmas! We rode with the Queen! Nicholas behind the camera... Yup. We eventually caught our connection to Tsawwassen. Ferry: Check Waiting to disembark... After kidding around about what the staff must do when a vehicle gets stuck here, the car in front of us didn't move when it was time to go. Apparently, the driver fell asleep! We came home to a foggy city. Big thanks to Julia and Gregory for letting us spend Christmas with them!!! The food and company was awesome!!!
