California Trip (Day 1)

I made my way to YVR this morning, ready to catch my flight to Los Angeles. Eric was here to check my boarding pass!

Up in the air... Leanne grabbed the same flight as me. Here's a nice look at the snowcapped mountains below. That's the Pacific Ocean. Entering Los Angeles now! Leanne bumped into some friends, Alana and Lucia from Vancouver! They were on the same plane as us. Check out Lucia's boots! Apparently, even the Westjet flight attendant noticed them too. Waiting for Elizabeth and Derek to pick us up... And here they are! After leaving the airport, we drove directly to Santa Monica. Heading down the pier... We decided to have something to eat at a place called Rusty's Surf Ranch. I ordered their Lobster & Shrimp Bisque in a Sour Dough Bread Bowl. The weather was awesome today! The waves were just crashing on the beach! They had trapeze lessons here. "Derek!" Rough waters... Posing with the waves... Getting in on the picture... At the end of the pier... Monkey see, monkey do... We began to walk towards Venice Beach. It's just like fucken "Baywatch"! Entering Venice Beach... Posing with the Predator... LOL! Muscle Beach... In the evening, Edwina came down to meet us at the Santa Monica's Third Street Promenade! Oddly enough, it was her first time down here. Elizabeth posed with this super cute Toy Pomeranian! We had dinner at the Yangtze Restaurant. Here's the food! This place was nice. We parted with Edwina shortly after. We finally went home to Elizabeth's grandmother's place where we called it a night singing karaoke.
