California Trip (Day 5)

On the way to the gun range this afternoon, we stopped by Santee Alley to kill some time because I mistook the operating hours of the range. This market is located in the Los Angeles Fashion District. Elizabeth was so tempted to get one of these miniature bunnies. I must admit, they were cute! Snacking in the shade... I was tempted to buy one of those Chinese outfits that were hanging on the wall. Eventually, we arrived at the Los Angeles Gun Club!
Posing with the guns and Alonso who worked here...
Elizabeth received some instructions on the basics from Alonso.
Always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction until you're ready to fire.
Never put your finger on the trigger until you're ready to shoot.
Always assume the gun is loaded at all times.
Leanne had her turn too.
Elizabeth ready to shoot her first 9mm...
One of the patrons had her fire this Russian rifle. It's bang was so loud!
Leanne's turn...
One-handing it...
In competition form...
Assassin in a pink dress...
and packing a Beretta 92F...
Elizabeth eventually figured out the aiming of the gun and did really well in the end!
Check out the 5 consecutive headshots she made! I watched the whole thing go down too. An excellent grouping for a beginner!
Here she is having a go with a shotgun now! This was a good range. It had a large selection of firearms and the staff who worked here were friendly.
On our way to the Griffith Observatory, we saw the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
Leaving Downtown LA...
Finally here!
The view was awesome from atop.
You can kind of make out the Hollywood sign in this photo.
Elizabeth with the beautiful sunset...
Leanne gets in on the action...
"Load the fishes!" That's Elizabeth's boot near my butt.
This is another place I haven't been to since 1990!
Elizabeth and the Griffith Observatory...
Leanne and James Dean...
Some more shots of the amazing view...
Checking out the exhibit...
It's free here!
A shot of the pendulum...
On the roof...
Here's an old school telescope that we eventually used to view the moon tonight.
This a model of the moon.
It's not real.
Still the model...
This whole exhibit is new!
Saturn...
Albert Einstein...
The rest of the planets in our solar system...
See, we used that old telescope to look at the moon.
EdRocker and the City...
It was time to make the exchange. We left for Allan's house.
The exchange is made. Elizabeth and Leanne dropped me off at the Torres residence.
Big thanks for the hospitality and transportation girls!!!
