Eureka!

I worked on this TV show again this morning. Look what I got to drive in the first scene of the day. Yeah, it's a "Smart Car"! I was so excited that I had to get one of the crew members to take a photo of me with it. Basically, I just drove it up and down the block. The car is pretty cool, but I don't think it's worth the price that the dealers are asking for it. In my opinion, it's a glorified golf cart, LOL. Hey, there's Claudia wearing her sunglasses, posing by the dude with the pointy head. Our day ended pretty early (only working six hours), so I went by Alex's place to upload the first two seasons of "Entourage" on his computer. After I left his place, I waited at the bus stop and then I saw his mother, Julia riding her bicycle from work. "Hi Julia," I said. We chatted for a bit, then she hopped back on her bike and rode home. Eventually, my bus arrived and I went home as well to write this blog. Hee, hee...

Canucks Lose 3-2...

After starting the game with so much energy, the Canucks fell behind 1-0 after the first shot on goal by the Ducks. Vancouver actually played pretty well against Anaheim, but it was their anemic power plays that killed them. If the Canucks can fix this problem, I believe they can actually go all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals. Honestly, I'm quite surprised on how well they're doing so far. I thought the Ducks would be all over them tonight, but Vancouver outplayed them for most of the game. Well, at least our captain, Markus Naslund scored again. Anaheim now leads the best-of-seven series, 2-1. Game 4 is scheduled on Tuesday at 7:30 pm (Pacific Time) in Vancouver. Click the title for a recap.

Party at Kelly's!!!

It was pretty funny bumping into Michelle at a Chevron station. I haven't seen her in years. She used to do "extra" work with me!
Iesza and Aaron both work in the film industry, designing sets.

Shopping with Rich...

Rich and I went down to Queensborough Landing in New Westminster to do a little shopping at the outlets. He's going to Las Vegas soon, so he wanted to look for some new threads. We ate first at Taco del Mar (observe his digital gesture), then checked out the new stores. I was very pleased to see a Quiksilver outlet. I really like their new line of clothing. There was also a new Point Zero shop, where Rich eventually picked up a shirt. I've been looking for something to keep me warm on those cold ass sets at work, so I tried on a Batman cape in the Walmart. I had a little fun with it, but it wasn't sufficient. It looked pretty good though, eh?

Canucks Win 2-1!!!

Thanks to a double overtime goal by Jeff Cowan, the Canucks have tied the series with the Ducks, 1-1. With a lot of blue collar work and a beautiful between-the-legs back pass by Trevor Linden, the Brabarian was able to sneak the puck by Ducks' goalie, Jean-Sebastien Giguere to score his second goal of the series. Yeah, baby!!! Once again, an excellent performance by my main man, Linden and yay, Markus Naslund scored too (the first goal of the game). I watched the whole thing go down at Jocelyn and Allan's place. Joce thought Al and I were going to kiss because we were so stoked after the winning goal. Fuck that shit! It's only the second round, wait until the Stanley Cup Finals. LOL!!! Game 3 will take place in Vancouver on Sunday at 5:00 pm (Pacific Time). Click the title for a recap.

Ollie!!!

Just look at this little guy! His name is Ollie and he's a Boston Terrier crossed with a Chihuahua. My friends in Calgary, Rob and Jen got him for their daughter, Chloe. What a lucky girl, eh?

Canucks Lose 5-1...

Basically, the Ducks just schooled the Canucks and handed them their asses tonight. The game started all right for Vancouver when Jeff Cowan scored the first goal, but then things changed when Anaheim scored five unanswered goals. The Ducks' top scoring line of Teemu Selanne, Andy McDonald, and Chris Kunitz did most of the damage, accounting for nine points with McDonald scoring a hat trick! The friendly rivalry between general managers, Brian Burke and David Nonis reminds me of a scene from "Pumping Iron", when Arnold Schwarzenegger was asked about his thoughts of competing against his friend, Franco Columbu. He simply replied, "It's like I'm the father and he's the child." LOL!!! Game 2 is scheduled on Friday in Anaheim at 7:00 pm (Pacific Time). Click the title for a recap.
