Rendezvous with Ate Susan

We met-up with Ate Susan at YVR this afternoon.  She flew in from Terrace and was supposed to catch a connection to the Philippines, but the all flight to and from Manila were cancelled do to the volcano, Mount Taal's eruption.  Looks like she's stuck in our city for a couple more days.

A Wedding in Ireland (Day 1)

I spotted my replacement this week as I arrived at YVR!  Haha!
Really?  People actually carry these?!?
I had to catch a connecting flight in Toronto.
I enjoyed this giant piece of art at Pearson!  :-)

A Glimpse of Shayna

I had dinner with Shayners last night at BierCraft...
and then this morning, I picked her up and drove her to the airport.
She bought me breakfast before she left for Fort Nelson.  :-)

Thanks Shayna!!!
And then I took a dump.  Haha!

Full-Time Work (Season 2: Day 33)

Hmmm... for some reason I (Lucas Talent) felt safe on set today.  ;-)
I've (Lucas Talent) never filmed here before!
Holy shit!  It's a big fucken plane!
DGC in full effect!  ;-)
"Okay, let's get set-up!"
Don't ever stand in front of a plane's running turbine engine!  ;-)
(Lucas Talent) survived!  :-)
The sun is out!
Meanwhile in Vancouver, looks like Angie took out big Landon out for a walk along the Seawall today!  :-)
Back at the hanger,
I couldn't help, but admire the view from here.  :-)
Lunch is served!
A beautiful day, it was!  :-)
This was the reverse of what happened to Neo and Trinity.  ;-)
Masouda (Hair Stylist 1st Assistant) was in the mood for photos.  :-)
You can't see it, but the pilots are waving from inside the cockpit.
(Lucas Talent) gave them a lick.  Hehe...
Oh no!
It's leaving!
"Bye-bye plane."  :-(

Production: Confidential.
Type of Call: Stand-in.
Length of Call: 11.9 Hours.

From YVR to the Teahouse

We were supposed to get together with Priya yesterday, but I had to work.
Instead, the Gus Bus picked her up this morning and...
took her to YVR.
Last week she acted on a feature,
so now she's heading back home to Toronto.  It was good to see my old "Star Trek" pal!  :-)
Later in the afternoon, the MOMMIETRON and I went to the Teahouse for brunch.
We finished it off with some Creme Brûlée!  :-)

Greg's Stag (Day 4)

Our epic adventure had finally reached it's last day,
so I took one more stroll before heading to the airport.
Oh the memories.  ;-)
I've been to Vegas so many times, but this is honestly one of the best times ever!!!  :-)
I said, "goodbye," to the Chilean Flamingos...
and as I walked-up the little hill, I finally found the Bugsy Siegel plaque!
I've come full circle.
This was where the shuttle dropped my off last Friday.  Today, it's where I waited to get picked-up.  :-(
On the flight home, I met Mary-Ellen and her sister-in-law, Karen.  Turns-out Mary-Ellen works in the payroll department of film productions!  What are the odds, eh?!?
We finally touched down in YVR.
After all the antics that transpired last weekend, it felt a little bittersweet to be back.  Almost like how the Hobbits felt when they returned to the Shire at the end of "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King".  Haha!
Do you see what I see?  It's as if I was getting subliminal messages from our trip.  Hehe...

Big thanks to Colin, Glen, and Greg for persuading me to join them!!!  I was seriously on the fence a month ago, but I'm so glad I accepted their invitation or else I would have missed-out on one of the best times of my life!!!

Fucking Epic!!!  :-)

Badger, Bikes, and Beach

I took transit down to YVR this morning to meet-up with Sophie and Alesha.
The Badger's return to Vancouver has come to an end, so we all had breakfast together at the Koho Restaurant & Bar.
Alesha got a couple of last minute hugs from us before her flight home.
And off she went.  :-(

Bon Voyage Badger!!!
Once I got home, I grabbed MOMO and met-up with Viki.  She suggested that we bike over to Wreck Beach...
and I agreed!
It was a nice long ride through the city and I made sure that we cut across the Pacific Spirit Regional Park.  ;-)
The park is quite magical.  During one of our pitstops, we spotted a Woodpecker!  :-)
Sadly, my Havaianas fell apart on this trip.  :-(
This is actually the first time I've taken MOMO here!
I was wondering if Manuelita was on that cruise ship in the distance.  She did say she was sailing down to Los Angeles this week.  ;-)
The sky wasn't exactly clear today, but it sufficed.
We decided to pack-up,
but Viki and I bumped into Steph,
so we stayed a bit longer!
Eventually, we ended-up at Cambie Pizza for dinner!  :-)
