Tatlows

Earlier this afternoon, I met up with some friends for brunch at this broiler bar. Located at 2741 West 4th Avenue (between Stephens and MacDonald) in Vancouver's Kitsilano, Tatlows has a great brunch menu. Just take a look at the Florentine Eggs Benedict I ordered and what John and Sang had. Oh yeah, that's Alex with the crutches. He tore some ligaments in his left knee last weekend when they went to Pender Island. Poor Chewy, he was on the outside looking in. Observe one of my patented manoeuvres on checking for stuff stuck in between my teeth. Kelly came after to pick up John and I to do some shopping downtown. Read the following blog below.

Shopping at the Downtown Costco...

After eating at Tatlows, Kelly drove John and I by Sportchek to buy some hockey sticks. We picked up two Easton shafts which were on sale (buy one, get the second 50% off). Later, we all went to the new Costco, located at 605 Expo Boulevard (beside GM Place) in downtown Vancouver. Kelly and I always planned on checking this place out, so finally we got a chance to do that today. She described the layout as a mirror image of the Richmond location. She was a little disappointed that certain items were not available, such as avocados, oranges, and Nestle Quik chocolate syrup. I, on the other hand was pretty content because I was able to find some Q-Tips and Dentyne chewing gum, yay!!! I just didn't like the fact that you have to pay for parking there ($2). At least there was a ramp, so customers after shopping, can have fun riding on their buggies!!! Look at me gooooo... After unloading her groceries, Kelly prepared a little snack, mmmm yum yum.

The Bionic Woman

Well, I just finished working two days on the pilot for this TV series. We shot on location in North Vancouver and the set was quite spectacular. I wish I could show you people, but it's prohibited for us to take shots on the actual film set, unless authorized by the production. This is why I just take photos of us hanging out in the holding site. Here you go...
Well, well, well...what do we have here? John signs in... George, me, and John...Tim working hard, as always... Some people actually wait for these type of bookings in order to get a free haircut. "Stargate" and "Battlestar Galactica" are military based shows that are known to cut your hair if they think it's too long. As you can see here, someone needed a shave.
The boys and their toys...
Cool location, eh?
We were lucky to have a little bit of sunshine for the day.
Tolerating the stench of sulphur in order to take this photo...
Reunited with Morgan on set!!!
Running on Coca-Cola...
Lunch is served...
George is on it!!!

Eureka!

I worked on this sci-fi series yesterday for 14 hours at the Vancouver Film Studios. As you can see in this photo, it was raining again. It was a bit of a cattle call, but they're always fun because you get to meet up with a lot of people you haven't seen in a while. Two thirds of the Wrangler Trinity, Ntsikie and Brynn... Here's Julia, Vernard's wife... Sebastian and Daniel solving crosswords... I met Lisa for the first time... New UBCP Apprentice Members, John and George... Crystal flashing her beautiful smile... This girl's awesome. She rides a motorcycle and she used to play "StarCraft"!!! The always entertaining, Sukh enjoys playing baseball during down time. We had two meal breaks because we worked so long. The dreaded boxed lunch and...Aaahhh yes, food off the truck. You gotta love it!!!
