Introducing Melita!

I was feeling pretty hungry after the gym, so I thought I'd try this place out, One Saigon.

These were on special today for $7.50 CAD plus tax!

This afternoon, the MOMMIETRON and I dropped by my beloved background agents to pick-up some moolah! Then we went to another Urban Fare for lunch. She's checking out the Chow Chow here. I haven't seen one of these guys in awhile. He looks like a lion! Lunch time... Before heading home, we walked off our extra pounds along the seawall.

The Last Olympic Day

The MOMMIETRON and I decided to go out for one last trek of the Olympic venues this morning. They had already shut-down the line-up at the Royal Canadian Mint Pavilion by the time we arrived this morning, so we walked over to the Vancouver Art Gallery to take some photos instead. I wanted to show her the mini houses at the VAG's Offsite Exhibit. It's right at the foot of the Shangri-La Hotel. We had some lunch at Urban Fare, which totally hit the spot! After our meal, we walked over to Coal Harbour. You can see the Olympic Cauldron's flame from here! Just a short wait in line this afternoon. Posing with the Olympic Cauldron... Gratitude towards the Volunteer Blue Jackets for taking our photos!!! Ironic, you could barely see the flame in this shot. The flame gets extinguished tonight. :( We walked along the water after. The Olympic Rings are just over the MOMMIETRON's shoulder! Now, with the seaplanes... Walking the seawall... The MOMMIETRON and the myriad of boats... Look, she's wearing the Vancouver colours! On the way back, we bumped into Flora and Adiam at Robson Square! They were in line for the last day of zip-lining. They must have waited over 5 hours to go down! The girls did it though. Good for them, that's the Olympic spirit!!!

Checking-out Some More Olympic Venues

The MOMMIETRON and I checked-out Canada's Northern House today! Awww, my mom has a new friend! So cute! This place was so popular, they're keeping it open until the end of the month. "Wolf, wolf!!!" So beautiful! Well, well, well... What do we have here? We enjoyed some live performances. Back to the narwhal tusk... Posing with some dolls... What's going on here? Diamonds!!! Apparently, Canada's north is abundant with them! Checking out some rock sculptures here. Pavel Bure... Jeff Kitura... Voyeurism... I guess this is a sculpture of a trampoline. Back to the wolf... The tusk is so cool! The polar bear and the MOMMIETRON meet... Bear hug... Coming full circle... Checking for klingons... We ate some McDonald's after. It's the MOMMIETRON's favourite. While walking underground towards Canada Place, we took a look at some of Vancouver's historical photos. Check it out! This guy's riding a fixie! At the Pan Pacific Hotel now... Posing with the Paralympic Games logo... The old convention centre had a make-over! I brought the MOMMIETRON to see the cauldron for the first time. It was relit for the Paralympic Games. The weather wasn't too nice today. It was good to see it again. Later in the evening, I met-up with some friends at the Moose for our usual Sunday Special! Dave and Andrea... What's she looking at? Laurie... Posing with Dan... For dessert, we went over to Urban Fare and picked-up some Chocolate Cheesecake! This was Andrea's discovery and it's so damn good! I ended my night with Dave and Brandon at the Lennox.
