Pavlova Delivery and My New Camera

After picking-up my cheques at Keystone Extras, I promised them I would someday bring some pavlova over if the day was nice.  When I left the office, the sun was out, so I hopped on the SeaBus to Lonsdale Quay.  I bought 5 all together, one for me and the rest for the kids at Keystone Extras.  It took me less than 3 minutes for me to devour the one you see in this photo. Man, the Golden Princess is one big ass ship! After I delivered the pavlova, I went to Future Shop and bought this new camera! It's the new Canon PowerShot SD780 IS Digital Camera. You'll be seeing this little camera on set soon enough.  I guess the MOMMIETRON can have my old Sony Cyber-shot now.

Get Together at Krista and Matthew's

I went over to Krista and Matthew's new place for a little get together tonight. All of us in this shot are from Ontario! Matthew, Krista, and Nick are graduates from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay. Krista with her new Canon DSLR Camera... LOL!!! She's still learning how to use it. She took some good pictures tonight though. More group shots... Time to break out the ferrets! That's no fur coat she's wearing. Krista, the "Beast Master" with Marla and Scrat... Marla smelling some feet... Scrat in the kitchen... So cute!!! Nick brought over some cake. Taken without flash... Sleeping time for Scrat... Big thanks to Krista and Matthew for having us over and for letting me take some shortbread cookies home!!!

My Camera

My friend Boris, thought he'd be smart and ask me to post photos of my camera (which I use for my blog). No problemo, I just used the camera on my iPhone to take these shots. Here it is, the Sony Cybershot DSC-L1. I purchased it on July 25, 2005 from my friend Dan Bennett at The Sony Store in Pacific Centre. I paid $342.00 CAD for the 4.1 megapixel camera and $169.63 CAD for a 1 GB Memory Stick. I was one of the last amongst my friends to switch to digital camera. I still remember Boris laughing at me when I'd pull out my 35 mm instant on my trips to Calgary. Damn, I sure did waste a lot of film. I love this little guy. I've had no problems with it. It takes great shots, but it could use a brighter flash and a quicker auto-focus (You know..., for those hotties that walk around at the bar). LOL!!! Unless this thing dies on me, it'll probably be awhile before I upgrade. Prices in technology keep getting better and better these days, so I'll just wait.
