Enjoying a Really Long Walk
Originally the plan was to walk a few blocks in our hood, so Mom didn't bother to bring all her gear. When it was time to turn back, she decided to walk even longer because she wasn't tired from being all weighed down by her usual carry-ons. Of course, there was a moment where I asked her for some cash to pay for a lottery ticket, and that's when she couldn't provide a single bill, so she got pissed at me. But no worries, I paid for it with my phone. LOL! ;-)

Lunch at Ambleside
Up to the same routine again,
grab some McDonald's and find a nice place to eat it. ;-)
For some reason, the MOMMIETRON felt like climbing this thing, so I spotted her.
The sun came out,
so we gave thanks! :-)

Black & Red
I got to spend some time with Poppy, thanks to Jen! :-)
Poppy's friend, Jorja came out for a walk too!
After our dog walk, I picked-up the MOMMIETRON...
for a take-out lunch. ;-)

Socially Distant
Thanks to a segment by Global BC News, we decided to walk around the University Golf Club!
It was a great place to visit and still observe social distancing. ;-)
I also picked-up this Pairing Knife by Shun! :-)
And then when we returned home, I realized a package arrived...
my new KA-BAR Tactical Knife! :-)

Just a Quick Shopping Run
We like to do a little grocery shopping at the Granville Island Public Market because it's not too crowded on a weekday. ;-)
And of course we had our lunch by the water again before heading back home. :-)

So this is what it's come down to, eating McDonald's on a bench at Granville Island. Haha!
And with this little guy asking for scraps. LOL!

Ukulele Tweaking
The MOMMIETRON and I went over to Long & McQuade to get another peg installed for her ukuleles strap. She wanted to reposition it and the friendly staff at the store were happy to oblige!
Rock on, MOMMIETRON!!! :-)

Rendezvous with Ate Susan
We met-up with Ate Susan at YVR this afternoon. She flew in from Terrace and was supposed to catch a connection to the Philippines, but the all flight to and from Manila were cancelled do to the volcano, Mount Taal's eruption. Looks like she's stuck in our city for a couple more days.

The MOMMIETRON tried on a safari look to deal with all the animals at the mall today. Haha!
After all the shopping, I dropped by Allison and Ben's for dinner! :-)

MOMMIETRON'S 84th Birthday!!!
The MOMMIETRON finally got her cake!
She had to delay her birthday celebrations...
until all her church friends were back in town. ;-)
Many wanted to pose with her on this special occasion.
Happy Birthday Mom!!! :-)

Hangin' in Tsawwassen
Red, eh? Hehe...
The MOMMIETRON wanted to go shopping at Tsawwassen Mills, so I took her.
And then we drove over to Fred Gingell Park...
to enjoy the view from up top. :-)

Hats & Shades at Nitobe
I had a day-off, so the MOMMIETRON and I ran some errands, ate some food,
and then we visited the Nitobe Memorial Garden at UBC.
It was Mom's first time here!
I had the yellow & black going on today. Hehe...
It's hard to leave such a lovely place! :-)

Sunday in Chinatown
I took the MOMMIETRON to the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden this afternoon.
Apparently, it was her first time here!?!
She couldn't get over the fact that we've lived in this city since '79 and she's never been here before. Haha!
Of course, I've been here many times because of our film industry. ;-)
I also took her to Umaluma. They make the best dairy-free gelato here! :-)
