Iron Road

Spotted on this mini-series which we filmed almost 2 years ago!  I still remember as we were filming this scene in Kamloops, I was in disbelief that we were getting paid for this awesome train ride.  There's my hero, Doug behind me to my left and Hong Kong actress, Betty Sun aka Sun Li on the right of this photo! This scene was shot by the train trestles in Kelowna. Here we are trying to make this Styrofoam rail look heavy. That's Sam Neill on the bottom left!  It certainly was a pleasure to work on this production.  I met a lot of good people on this 2 week shoot.

Monty worked on "The Andromeda Strain"!!!

I finally got a chance to blog this after receiving these photos from the Mooseman himself last month. The acting bug has really taken a bite out of Monty's ass after working six days on this A&E mini-series. The production shot out in Ashcroft, BC and he got to play a paramedic for one day, a photo-double on another, and a National Guardsman for four days. On three separate occasions, Monty used a real M16 machine gun! In one of the scenes, a runaway Humvee crashes the gates and they just open fire. It's good to see the big guy have fun on set. I met him out in Kamloops when we worked on the production of "Iron Road" and I would always comment that he looked like the perfect Irish railway worker. LOL!!! Good on ya, buddy! Also, in one of my previous blog entries, "Chillin' with Fatty and the boys...", I saw Daniel Dae Kim walking around in Kitsilano. He's actually starring in this show, playing a North Korean biological weapons expert. Aaahhh..., it's all coming together now.

Kaya

I worked on this new TV series at Richard's On Richards this afternoon. There were a lot of familiar faces on set that I haven't seen in a while.Good ol' Steve... Surya and Jody... Andrew... Doreen was wrangling. Here she is giving an announcement to us. Kevin!!! This is the first time I worked with him since we got back from the Philippines. Getting a shot with Doreen... Posing with Amanda... Look who was doing wardrobe... Natalie!!! A few years ago, I booked a commercial for the Discovery Channel Store and she did my fitting. This is the first time I've worked with her since that shoot! Chillin' at the holding tent... "Iron Road" buddy, Rob!!! Randy, Louisa, and I getting a shot together... Oh look, another one from "Iron Road", Gordie!!!

In & Out Like the Wind

I was back on this show again, and this time playing cards with Joel and Gayle...Our wrangler, Tim... I was excited to see Sukh on set. We haven't worked together in a while. Doing my Optimus Prime impression... Another "long time no see" person, Khaira!!! She's pregnant!!! Aaawww yeeahhh, it's Claudia!!! Production: Click the entry's title. I was wrapped after 3 1/2 hours, so it was an easy day for me. After leaving the studio, I went downtown to see some friends working on "The 4400". There were 400 background performers today at Robson Square!!! Here's Julia... Karen!!! My old friends from "Iron Road"... Here's Cindy... This was just outrageous!!! Look how many people there were. Ntsikie boxing Richard as he checks his can of Coca-Cola... LOL!!! There's Brynn hard at work... Filming the crowd scene... I left the set a little after and ran a few errands. Check it out, a modern day gauntlet. LOL!!! I'd hate to be walking under those dudes. I went by Mom's thrift store and look what I found at one of the neighboring stores, Royal Tru Orange!!! It's a Coca-Cola product, but normally you can only buy this stuff in the Philippines. When I was there last Christmas, it was my drink of choice!!! Nella, Carmen, Mom, and Melody...

Happy Birthday, Resh!!!

It was Resh's birthday on July the 4th, but instead, he decided to have a little get together today. As I was biking over to the party, I passed by Julia's old house and took some shots. This is where Alex and his brothers, Misha and Nicholas used to live. I finally arrived to the party in Resh's backyard... Check it out, a pool! There's Steph and Patrick!!! Patrick and Steph ate a lot of the coleslaw. The birthday boy, Resh and Matt... A backyard troubadour... I interrupted a conversation... To get this shot... LOL!!! Steph's feet... Patrick performing some bartending flare... My impression of the Incredible Hulk or just trying to "pinch a loaf"... Patrick and Steph's feet... Matt drove all the way from Salmon Arm to attend Resh's party... My ride... An Englishman singing along to "You'll Never Walk Alone" (mantra of Liverpool F.C.) The "Iron Rods", Resh, Matt, me, and Patrick. We all met each other in Kamloops when we worked on the CBC mini-series "Iron Road". Happy Birthday Resh!!!
