Riding Around

"Ya gotta see the babi - When are ya' gonna see the babi...?"   This afternoon, I rode my bike to visit Jocelyn and the kids. Arden is getting big! Awww...  Fuck!!! Joce gave birth to Joshua 2 weeks ago!  Congratulations!!! After I left Jocelyn's place, I rode over to Ace Cycles to visit some friends.  Their mechanic, Rob noticed my rear hub was wiggling, so he took care of it for me.  As he was putting my wheel back on, I asked him to chain it up on the fixed-wheel cog.  I'm officially riding a fixed-gear bicycle now! As I test rode my bike around the block, I ran into Max Serpentini!  I haven't seen this guy in ages!  This dude can really rock the guitar. Back inside the cycle shop... Brian and Jan installed a baby seat on a customer's bicycle. Here's Rob, who fixed my bike in both ways.  Thanks, you guys!!! Looks like the baby geese are no longer babies. There were a bunch of them as I rode through Granville Island. I rode over to Edwina and Nate's place, and we all went to Kingyo Izakaya for dinner. Nate was buying! A little Asian Persuasion for Nate... Edwina in Japan...  Not! Nate... Here comes the food! Nate cooked the meat... on this hot stone! The food was good here, but it wasn't enough to fill our stomachs. Thank you, Nate!!! For dessert, we dropped by True Confections. It was still nice outside, so we sat on the patio. Big ass desserts here! Enough sugar to last me for a week! Edwina, you can be my wingman anytime.

A Thursday Off

After doing a little shopping with the MOMMIETRON, I met-up with Jeffery and Marife in the afternoon. We enjoyed some lunch at Dix BBQ and Brewery even though the woman serving us was pretty rude. At least the food and company was good. After parting ways with Jeffery and Marife, I paid a visit to Fatty and then headed out to Joce and Al's place. Here's their son, Arden. He's so big now! Arden was assigned to Allan tonight, so Joce and I took off to the movie theatre to watch "Slumdog Millionaire". It's been awhile since I've seen something like this. What I mean is seeing something great! This film is terrific, we just loved it!!! I totally credit Jocelyn for suggesting to watch this tonight. The movie would have completely flown under my radar. It's a shame it's only playing at one theatre in Vancouver, the 5th Avenue Cinemas. It deserves to be shown in every theatre in the city!!!And it doesn't hurt having Freida Pinto play the love interest either. LOL!!! Do yourself a favour and go see this thing.

A Friday in Kits

I got a call this morning from Jocelyn, inviting me to come skate with her and Baby Arden. Apparently, there's a toonie skate every Friday at the Kitsilano Ice Rink from 11:45 am to 1:15 pm. Here's the proud mama pushing her baby. Arden just sleeps for the ride. I just had to get a shot with this huge tree infront of Kitsilano Secondary School. I didn't get to eat anything before I left the house, so we went to the Sunshine Diner for brunch. A shot of two kids... This place is so cool. They serve breakfast here all day. Arden was mesmerized by the red neon lights above. Here's a photo of Joce's Omelette with my French Toast. Yummy!!! After our meal, we walked over to Fatty's and Jocelyn met him for the first time. In the evening, I went with Fatty and the MK Street Machine to watch "Iron Man". It was such an awesome movie!!! We all just loved it.

The UPS Guy

This is me in morning just about to enter the studio. I was all excited the night before because I thought I was gonna be working with Rachael, but she said I was the only one scheduled for the morning. She laughed at the fact that the call sheet stated, "BG Breakfast: 1".All suited up... They couldn't use the UPS trademark, but they still kept referring to me as the "UPS Guy". LOL!!! Because I was the only background performer at the time, I got to stay inside the trailer. Let's just say my iPhone came in handy today. My day was done after filming just one scene. I grabbed a yogurt from crafties and caught the next bus. Production: Click the entry's title. Type of Call: 1 Background. Length of Call: 2 1/2 hours. Since my work day was so short, I met-up with Jocelyn and Arden and we went to Mr. Pickwick's Fish & Chips for lunch. We both had the 3 Piece Cod & Chips Combo. Jocelyn still prefers Pajo's, but I found the batter so light at this place that I was able to eat all her leftovers without feeling sick. LOL!!! Baby Arden fast asleep as his mom orders some bubble tea near my place.
