Schnitzel & Pavlova!

I went out for lunch with Viki today at the Jagerhof Schnitzel House in North Vancouver!

After our meal, we went for a little walk along the pier.  You know, the city plans to remove this boat stern soon?  :-(

In the evening, I joined Sarah and Brian for dinner at East is East.  They've got good healthy food here with some live entertainment!

Eat, Eat, and Eat

I met-up with Elizabeth and Benita for lunch at the Jagerhof today! I really like the Schnitzel Florentine here! It's so good! After our meal, we went by the local BMO and tried out their coin counting machine. You don't need an account in order to use it. While we were there, this guy showed-up with a huge canister filled with coins! We were all so curious how much his coins would amount to. So this container had... this much in it! I'm bringing my coins here next time. ;-) Benita and Elizabeth at Lonsdale Quay... We all had a craving for some Pavlova! Peter joined us for some Coffee at Bean Around the World! I parted with the others and met-up with Karen for a matinee. "Green Lantern" is what we watched. My suggestion, wait for an R5 rip or axxo to do his job. ;-) After the movie, Karen took me to Bella Gelateria to meet the owner, James Coleridge. Karen got me a scoop of Dulce de Leche! It was so yummy! :-) Big thanks to Karen for the flick and gelato!!!

From Queen E to Jagerhof

I met-up with Alesha this afternoon, so I could show her Queen Elizabeth Park. Alesha by the waterfall... I stepped away, so she could do her own little photo shoot. Honestly, I was a little disappointed at the look of the garden. It doesn't look as lush or as vibrant as I remembered. Probably has something to do with funding. They should ask the Queen for a handout. ;) Alesha and the dull garden... I think she was starting to melt from the heat. We went for quite the long walk up Cambie Street and ended-up at the Olympic Village. They've got a little park here. Crossing the bridge... Hey, a unicycle! Alesha needed to cool-off, so she dipped her feet into the water. Then I introduced her to the big birds. "Pretty bird... Pretty, pretty, bird..." We finally got our gelato at Mario's Gelati! Thanks Alesha!!! On our way to Jagerhof, we bumped into another Aussie, Sommer! She's the one I met at Pauline's birthday a couple of weeks ago. Schnitzel!!! Alesha got the lunch size, but I got the dinner version. Look how big it is! So far, Jagerhof is the best in town when it comes to this dish! I just love it here!!!

The Capilano Suspension Bridge & J Lounge

I met-up with Alesha this afternoon at Lonsdale Quay. We went to Jagerhof for some lunch. It was both our first time here! The deer head in the back is looking at Alesha. Now, there's a warthog behind her! We both ordered Schnitzel! The food here reminded me of Oma's cooking. I don't know why I waited so long to come here. Next time, I'm bringing the MOMMIETRON. Death by Chocolate... After lunch, we bussed over to the Capilano Suspension Bridge! I found out that as a BC Resident, I could pay $26.25 for a BC Membership and get unlimited admission for one full year! SOLD!!! Alesha with the retro-dressed girls... Some more totem poles... A Mountie Bear! Alesha and the bridge... The Capilano River... "Mola Ram! Prepare to meet Kali... in Hell!!!" On the Rainforest side... Enjoying a little steampunk decor... Who's that on the bridge? I think it's an Aussie! And now, deep thoughts... This place totally reminds me of the Ewok Village from "Return of the Jedi". Alesha and the Capilano River... There's that bridge again. Back on the other side, we found some time to play checkers. Our first game ended in a stalemate, but when we played a second game, Alesha totally kicked my ass! LOL! Perfect timing, our afternoon started out sunny, but look at that huge ass raincloud over Vancouver! It's a good thing we finished our outdoor activities for the day. I was craving something sweet, so upon Alesha's recommendation, I decided to buy a Beaver Tail. I've never had one of these before! I got the Maple Leaf Beaver Tail. This baby was awesome! Thanks Alesha!!! Alesha with the orchids at the market... Check out her blog of our day here! In the evening, I went down to the J Lounge for some karaoke! Apparently, they watch "Glee" here every Tuesday before the singing gets started. Big Red, Mark, Tina, Jim, and Gogan were all here! The set-up here is pretty good! Ryan eventually showed-up... with the rest of the hoodlums. LOL! POV shot... We have to come back next week!
