Socially Distant

Thanks to a segment by Global BC News, we decided to walk around the University Golf Club!  

It was a great place to visit and still observe social distancing.  ;-)

I also picked-up this Pairing Knife by Shun!  :-)

And then when we returned home, I realized a package arrived...

my new KA-BAR Tactical Knife!  :-)

Finished Cleaning

Yay!  We finally finished cleaning-up our apartment.  It's funny what you uncover through the process.  I totally forgot I had this Targaryen mug!?!

Oh, and look what arrived in the mail today!

Ukulele Tweaking

The MOMMIETRON and I went over to Long & McQuade to get another peg installed for her ukuleles strap.  She wanted to reposition it and the friendly staff at the store were happy to oblige!

The Murph Watch!!!

First, I took MOMMIETRON Sandiego out to Cinnzeo.  ;-)

And then we walked over to Lugaro Jewellers...

where I picked-up...

this pretty cube!

Inside it was the Murph Watch by Hamilton!

It's the same timepiece that was featured in one of my favourite movies, "Interstellar"!

I became interested in this watch after watching the film, but was disappointed to find out that it was a special commissioned movie prop and only a few of them actually existed, so none of them were available to the general public...

until now!  It took Hamilton 5 years to finally release this Khaki Field Automatic Watch to the open market.

It even comes inside a Limited Edition Tesseract Box created by the movie's production designer, Nathan Crowley!  :-)

There is one added difference to the original prop though.  On the watch's second hand, there's a message lacquered in morse code.

"Eureka!"

Introducing RED-5!!!

Say, "hello," to RED-5!!!

She's a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta GLI!

This model wasn't available last year which is why I settled for the Jetta R-Line,

but low and behold, a customer from Capilano Volkswagen really wanted my R-Line, so they asked me if they could buy it back!?!

I said I would oblige them, but only if they could get the car I truly wanted.  ;-)

Big thanks to Shaun Openshaw and the rest of the team at Capilano Volkswagen for making it all happen!!!  :-)

A Wedding in Ireland (Day 2)

I finally arrived at the Dublin Airport!  It only took me around 13 hours.  Hehe...  Just outside the terminal was the Airlink Express Bus.

It only costed me 7 Euros and it brought me to Dublin's city centre within half an hour!

Wow, so beautiful here!

This is when I had to take a minute and realize that it was the first time I was visiting Europe!

I was in awe of all the old buildings...

and the new.

Now, that's one tall spire!

I took a bunch of shots of the city's architecture.

I considered renting a car,

but I decided not too since I'm not used to driving on the other side of the road.  ;-)

The River Liffey...

and took in all the sights.

Ahhh, the Guinness Factory!  I'll be visiting soon.

I finally checked-in at the Ashling Hotel.  My room was great, so I took a nap!  :-)

Once I woke-up, I made my way over to the Guinness Storehouse!

I paid 23 Euros for the tour.

The place was busy with tourists!

Encased on the floor was the 9000 year lease that Arthur Guinness signed for his factory!

Inside the Tasting Room, our guide asked, "Are you all ready to taste some Guinness?"
I responded, "HELL YEAH, BROTHER!!!"  The whole room broke-out in laughter.  LOL!

I went back down a couple floors and ordered a Stoutie.  They took a photo of me and then printed it on to the foam!?!

As I was shopping around the souvenir store, I ran into Odette?!?  Turns out she worked on Westjet's inaugural flight to Dublin!

I went back upstairs to enjoy the rest of my pint and spotted a rainbow!?!

I'm so happy I checked this place out because the Irish stout tastes so much better here!
