Trisha & Pooh Bear

So, a little over 3 years ago I met Karen's cousins when I was in the Philippines. This is a shot of Janice with her kids. Ian and Karen brought gifts for the kids, but I felt one of them got left out. I asked them, "What about Trisha, the little one? She didn't get a gift." They replied, "Oh, don't worry about it. They'll share." Share? Share?!? Being an only child, the thought of sharing was incomprehensible to me. LOL! I made it a point to get her something on this trip before I flew back to Vancouver. A couple of weeks later, I picked-up this 80th Anniversary Winnie the Pooh Bear at the SM Mall of Asia! I texted Janice and told her I had something for Trisha. Fast-forward to the present now, I get tagged in this photo by Janice on Facebook. At first I thought, "I'm nowhere in this photo." Then I realized, "Ohhh... that's Trisha! Hey, wait a minute. Is that the Pooh Bear I got her?!?" Apparently, she loves him so much, she takes him along with her whenever they sleep away from home. Pooh came with her on their recent trip to Baguio City! Look at them, they're all so cute! Bedtime for Janice, the kids, and Pooh... Who doesn't love Pooh? I actually got one for myself too. ;) It's kind of funny, but this whole thing actually made my day. Thanks Janice!!!

Calgary for the Day

I was on my way to Calgary this morning, but this time under tragic circumstance. Karen and Bobby's mother had passed away last week, so I made plans to attend the funeral today. It's been awhile since I've been at YVR's Domestic Terminal. I almost didn't recognize it after all the renovations. It's nice in here! At YYC now, still looks the same. Riding in the limo beside Karen... We spent our evening at the Quitzon household. This is Isa and Trisha's dog, Elmo! He's so fluffy. Frederick eating and Isa sleeping... Eddie, Nicolette, and their son, Nixon... Eddie and Nic's daughter, Shayne with Ian and Alma eating in the back... Alma, Karen, and Shayne... The Commander and I get into the mix... I hopped on a plane shortly after and headed back to Vancouver. Back at YVR... Boarding the Canada Line... It's time to go home.

This was taken in the Philippines back in December of 2006. Tita Linda was such a kind and giving woman. She hooked us up big time during our stay in Iloilo. I've got so many fond memories of our trip because of her. I'm gonna miss you, Tita Linda. :(

Well, I finally finished posting the photos from my trip to Palawan when I went to the Philippines last December. Just click on today's title or look for the link "Philippines Trip 2006 - 2007 (Part II)" in the "Photo Galleries" section in the right column of this site. Most of the photos were taken at the Dos Palmas Arreceffi Island Resort. My friends from Calgary, Karen and Ian paid for my whole stay (two nights). They're absolutely one of the kindest and most generous couples you'll ever meet. We had so much fun at the resort. The place totally reminded me of "Gilligan's Island". Thanks, you guys!!!
