Hats & Shades at Nitobe

I had a day-off, so the MOMMIETRON and I ran some errands, ate some food,
and then we visited the Nitobe Memorial Garden at UBC.
It was Mom's first time here!
I had the yellow & black going on today.  Hehe...
It's hard to leave such a lovely place!  :-)

SL (Day 2)

I've (Lucas Talent) been looking forward to this day for a week!
June (Lucas Talent) got her second day on set!  I was supposed to be on my regular production today, but I asked them to find me a replacement for the day, so I could work with my baby girl.  :-)
Gratitude to Derek, my agent at Lucas Talent and to casting for making this all happen!!!  :-)
You gotta love it though when production hires you and your dog for the day, but then tells you that the holding they set-up doesn't allow dogs in the building.  :-(
At least it was nice outside though.  ;-)
June (Lucas Talent) watched some of the guys outside throwing a football,
so she (Lucas Talent) decided to join-in!  Haha!
Enter Madeleine (Lucas Talent)!  :-)
Bon (Lucas Talent) captured a moment here.
Passerby with dog (Lucas Talent).  ;-)
Ohhh, she (Lucas Talent) looked so lonely here.
No need to worry though,
she (Lucas Talent) got a lot of love from Sonia (On-Set Costumer) and the rest of the cast and crew!  :-)
"That'll do June.  That'll do."  ;-)

Production: Click here.
Type of Call: 245 Background.
Length of Call: 6.4 Hours.
On another set today, Todd (Showbiz Management) enjoyed a smoothie at craft services.  Haha!
After a long afternoon nap,
June and I met-up with Landon and Angie...
for some ice cream!  :-)

Picking-up Bella

It was my last day-off for this long weekend, so we ran a few errands this morning...
and then we picked-up Bellatrix!
Her dad was working at UBC today,
so we thought we'd drop by...
and spend time with some friends!  ;-)
The dogs were a hit on set!  Haha!
Jennifer fell in love with June!  :-)
June also met Yona and tried to snag a little snack from her.  Hehe...
Fun times in the sun!  Even on a day-off, I can stay away from set.  :-)
After dropping-off June this evening, I ran into an old friend at the gym...  Balazs!!!  I haven't seen this guy in ages, but he's still working at that law firm fighting for Indigenous rights.  He's even wearing the shirt of one of the first shows I ever worked on.  LOL!

Nesting

So this is the new AMS Student Nest at UBC!  I planned on hitting the beach today, but all the free parking was taken, so I called-up Professor Bole and we went out for lunch instead.  :-)
Look what Greg brought back for me from his trip to Japan!  I didn't know who she was at first, but now I do.  Her name is Kaga from the Kantai Collection!
He also got me a little GUNDAM!  :-)

Arigato Greg!!!  :-)

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & Soup

I drove over to UBC's War Memorial Gym this morning to watch our little Mariza...
kick some butt!
There she goes!
Now, it was time for her mom to get into the action!
One thing I've realized today...
is that I can't watch anyone I know fighting anymore.  It's so frustrating.  I just want to kick their opponent's head!  LOL!
Not bad for Natasha's first fight.  :-)
I don't like this type of hugging,
but I do enjoy this kind.  :-)
On the podium they go.

Congrats Girls!!!  :-)
Later in the day, I went over to Tim and Georgia's for a holiday soup party!

Thanks for filling-up my tummy you guys!!!  :-)

Farm to Yoga Part II: Spring

I drove over to The Hot Box Yoga studio in UBC this morning for a workshop.
Sarah Bobo and Melanie also attended!
The owner's doggie!
Here's Tedi Martin, our favourite yoga instructor!
I've missed her ever since she stopped teaching at the Steve Nash Sports Club.  :-(
Here we go with a walk towards the UBC Farm!
Melanie and Bobo in front of the yurt...
We started with a tour of the farm...
guided by Chelsea.
Those are Kale!
After the tour, we all returned to the yurt.  Tedi Martin and Dr. Angela Foran educated us with some Traditional Chinese Medicine about the effects of the Spring season and its association with our liver.    That was followed by an awesome yoga session which ended with a savasana that incorporated a little acupuncture.  It was such a treat that I can't wait to attend the next one!

Gratitude to TediAngela, and Chelsea for a wonderful day!!!  :-)
