Canucks vs. Flyers

Boris invited me to tonight's game!
And it was in his company's suite!?!  :-)
I watched the game as I ate.  ;-)
As I looked-up into the rafters,
I spotted the retired numbers of my favourite players!  :-)
I missed the first period because I was still asleep at home, so I hoped that the game would go into overtime and then a shoot-out.  And you know what?  It did!
The home team was victorious!  :-)
Big thanks to Boris and Hilda for the suite experience!!!  ;-)

Full-Time Work (Season 2: Day 69)

Introducing the Badger!  It comes in pretty handy in this type of environment.  ;-)
Look who came to work with me today, Gus (Lucas Talent)!  He may have found a new hairstylist in (First Assistant Hair Stylist) Masouda.  Hehe...
It was his first time on our production...
and his first time roaming the grounds...
of Jamestown.
Photobombed by Brandon (A-Camera Second Assistant)!  Haha!
The new travel mat I (Lucas Talent) bought him (Lucas Talent) came into good use today.  ;-)
We also paid a visit to Claire (Background Costumer) in the Background Costumes Truck after we wrapped.  :-)

Production: Confidential.
Type of Call: Stand-in.
Length of Call: 11.8 Hours.
After work, we dropped by the Deumas to celebrate Hilda's birthday!

Happy Birthday Hilda!!!  :-)
It may have been Hilda's birthday, but I'm the one that came away with a gift!  Haha!

Thank you Boris!!!  :-)

Canucks vs Oilers

Niko and I were at Rogers Arena tonight to watch the Edmonton Oilers play against the Vancouver Canucks!  His cousin Athina couldn't go to the game, so she gave him her tickets.
I can't even remember the last time I watched an NHL game here.
Niko pointed-out the new banner in the rafters.
There it is!
Pavel Bure's Number 10!!!  The Russian Rocket immortalized above us.
This is so awesome!  The whole time we were watching the game, I would heckle Ryan Kesler because of the way he got Tony fired from his job.  It turns out Kesler's wife was sitting right behind us!  LOL!

While we walked up to the Centre Ice Grill, I heard Bryce call my name, so we picked-up a couple of beers from him!
Since we still had drinks in our hands, we didn't bother going into the restaurant.  Instead, we got Rich to step outside for a photo with us.  ;-)
Here's the wall of fame for the retired numbers.
Top Row: Stan Smyl and Trevor Linden.
Bottom Row: Pavel Bure and Markus Naslund.
The Russian Rocket's gear.
I actually have this jersey!

He's my favourite player of all time!
It's amazing how cheap the tickets were back then.

Man, these skates have taken a beating!
An impressive display, I must say.
Linden's locker.
These were put to good use back in the day.
After the game, Niko and I had a late meal at Joe Fortes.
Sadly, the Oilers lost tonight, but we still had fun.  :-(

Gratitude to Niko for the night out and to Athina for the game tickets!!!  :-)

Welcome Back BURE!!! :-)

You wanna know who inspired me to play and watch hockey?  This guy, Pavel Bure the Russian Rocket!!!  He's quite possibly the best player ever to have worn a Canucks jersey.  Man, I've missed this guy!  :-)

My Last Things Canuck

At the time, I paid over $300 CAD for each of these authentic hockey jerseys. I still love these jerseys very much and I'll never part with them. The Vancouver Canucks wore the black one all the way to the 7th game of the 1994 Stanley Cup Finals!  Ever since the team switched their look to that ugly ass orca on their jerseys, I've never bought a single piece of Canucks merchandise.  However, I do buy jerseys of other NHL teams.   When I used to attend games at GM Place, I would yell out, "Where's Bure?!?  Put on fucken Bure!!!"  Obviously, I would get a few looks from the crowd and the answer, "He's not on the team anymore!  Where the hell have you been?"  I just laugh.  But honestly, the last home game I watched on TV, I heard someone off-camera yell out, "Where's Pavel?!?  Where's Pavel?!?"  LOL!!!
