Ride, Wine, and Dine

Earlier this afternoon, I rode down to Creekside Park to check out the MEC Bikefest. There were a lot of stands here, but it looked like the VPD stand was the most popular because they offered free bike engravings. The weather was perfect for the event! Later, I rode MOMO to the Vancouver Olympic Village to check out the big birds! These sculptures are kind of cool. Nick said the bird looked like it was perched on MOMO. "Do the chickens have large talons?" There's only 2 birds in the plaza. It was nice to finally get a closer look at these properties. They've been open to the public for quite some time now. What MOMO rocks... In the evening, Nick invited me to the Wine, Food & Music Festival at Metropolis! There was a lot of wine tasting going on here. A good turnout too! Reminds me of "The Cove". It's neat how they transformed this area into a temporary patio. We began to line-up for the Cactus Club stand's... Sliders! By the time we got to the front, there were only 35 burgers left. We had to wait for the top of the buns to come. LOL! Victory at hand! I grabbed a photo with Marney, one of the hostesses. The Forbidden Fruit Winery stand was my favourite by far because their wines were so delicious and sweet! Posing with Marie and Rob... Nick and Marie... They also had a Cupcakes stand here! I must have eaten 4. PBO spotted! There were a few here! Cupcake!!! This was my fourth. The most fairest of them all... Posing with the girls of the Beaumont Family Estate Winery... I thought I'd take a better photo of them this time. I grabbed one of the Cactus Club girls to take a photo with near the end of the event. Vicky and Rick... Turns out Rick has worked as the Sound Guy on shows such as "Battlestar Galactica", "Defying Gravity", and "Eureka"! I've worked on all of those productions, but this is our first time meeting each other?!? Nick and I ended our night at Trocadero. Gratitude to Nick!!!

Happy Birthday Kelly!!!

A bunch of us were over at Kelly's tonight for an early celebration of her birthday! "Sippin' wine, killin' time. Tryin' to solve life's mysteries." Luft balloons... I love you Kelly, but enough talk about child birth and C-Sections. LOL! Georgia and Pat were here too! The ghost of Sage approaches! Happy Birthday Kelly!!!

On Location at Fort Langley (Day 3)

Out in Fort Langley again, but this time it was actually pretty sunny! I (Keystone Extras) can't get enough of my cape. It comes in handy when it's cold and you're wearing a costume. I was sent through lunch before I started working. This was the aftermath at the crafties table when the kids raided it. LOL!!! I (Keystone Extras) had to change into my "Happy Elf Helper" outfit, but we never even got used. My "Wonder Woman" pose... Big thanks to Sylvia (one of the moms on set) for driving me into town!!! Production: Click the entry's title. Type of Call: 14 Background. Length of Call: 7 1/4 hours.

Sunny Sunday!!!

Earlier this afternoon, I checked out the James Street Cafe & Grill with Willy and Shellaine. Shellaine and I ordered different variations of their Eggs Benedict. "And there she goes..." After eating, Shellaine and I went over to the Coquitlam Ikea to buy some pillows that were on sale. While checking out the showrooms, I ran into Tasha!!! (You know, she did the make-up for Robin Thicke at his most recent performance at GM Place.) I would later be asked to leave by one of the store employees because I had Dijon with me. LOL!!! We're not allowed to bring dogs inside the store because they serve food there. Anyways, after buying the pillows we wanted, Shellaine and I drove to the Wellbrook Winery in Delta. "Get a shot of me on the tractor, Shellaine!" "Yeah, baby!" Shellaine's turn at the wheel... The friendly staff at the shop... They sell fruit wine here! We discovered this place when we participated in Brad Butchard's Lower Mainland Amazing Race this year. It was one of the destinations during the race. When the race was over, Brad awarded us a prize. It turned out to be a $50 gift certificate for this winery! We chose today to cash it in. They had free wine tasting, so we tried out six different bottles. Three table wines... And three dessert wines... There was quite a bit to choose from, but we eventually made our decision. "Start the car!!! Start the car!!!" "Woooooo!!!" The wines they make, can only be purchased here. They're not sold at any other liquor store. The wine choices we made... We'll be back for more. You should check it out, it's well worth the visit. Later in the evening, Todd picked me up at my place and we went to the Studio Collective. Here's Greg and Todd. They just finished doing a scene from "Hurly Burly". This is Craig critiquing them... He's the one in charge of these sessions. I found it very informative, so I'll be attending more of them. Anyone is welcome to come, so just check out the Facebook group page, "Studio Collective" for anymore information.
