A Belated Birthday Dinner

I went downtown this evening...
to meet Parry Bobo,
Riley,
Angela, and Yuko...
for dinner at The Keg!
After our meal, I finally got close to Bumblebee!
She looks good and mad!  LOL!

Thanks for dinner, friends!!!  :-)

Dinner at The Keg

For months, I've been holding on to $125 worth of gift cards for this restaurant and never had a chance to use them yet until now!
Colin and I were both off today, so we took advantage of our free time!
I couldn't wait to dig in!  :-)

A First Time for Everything (Day 2)

Look!  I (Lucas Talent) get to wear my own hat on this production.  :-)
Inside our holding, we played a different style of Catan,
but it took forever, so I made a pagoda out of my game pieces.  Hehe...
Melanie owns this land and she makes and sells her own natural honey here!  I'm going to buy some this coming Monday.  ;-)

Production: Click here.
Type of Call: 76 Background.
Length of Call: 10.5 Hours.
I was craving a steak after we wrapped, so Anne and I dropped by The Keg on our way to her home.  It's a beautiful location!  :-)

Friday Fun

Gus stayed with us overnight, so we took him for a walk along Main Street.
We also passed by Stavros Autobody to see Niko and his dad.  The MOMMIETRON hasn't seen them in years, so it was a nice reunion!  :-)
In the evening, Niko and I went out for Surf & Turf at The Keg!  :-)
And then we watched "ARRIVAL".  I love this movie and how it makes you keep thinking about it afterwards!!!  Denis Villeneuve has been directing movies that I have to see twice out of enjoyment.  :-)

Tasting Chocolate!!!

Angela asked Yuko and I to join her at XOXOLAT through a Groupon offer.
We all were here for a chocolate tasting!  :-)
Together again.  Haha!
We had an entertaining host that explained the origin of chocolate and they way it's manufactured today.
This is a Cocoa Pod.
This was one of the many pieces of chocolate we tasted today.  The session was quite informative!  We have a whole new outlook on the good stuff now.  ;-)
Later in the day, Yuko and I went for dinner at The Keg, but Angela couldn't come because she had an audition.
Yuko drank some of my wine and then she grew a tree from her head!  Hehe...
After dinner, I went over to Charlie's place to play my favourite board game, "7 Wonders"!!!  :-)

Birthday Job

I was back at Crescent Beach today, but this time it was for work.
It's not a bad place to spend your birthday.  ;-)
These guys were here way before me.
I (Lucas Talent) came in for Atmosphere E.  ;-)
It was another beautiful day.
Marilyn was working on this production too!
I (Lucas Talent) always loved this show!  Eeehaaaw!!!
"What's next on the call sheet?"

Someone else sent me a birthday wish!  Haha!
I love these guys!
Lesley also sent me one from the Richmond Night Market.  Haha!
Boris was able to snag me something special too.  ;-)

Ball & Keg

I went down to BCIT to watch some basketball tonight.
Stu invited me down to see his friend's team the Balloholics.  They're part of the ABA (American Basketball Association).
They easily won their match against the Kitsap Admirals.
Huh, I guess Killarney Secondary students aren't the only Cougars?
After the game, Stu and I filled our bellies at The Keg!

Gratitude Stuart!!!  :-)

Reunited with My Familiar!

"No Gus.  This is not for you."  :-(
We took our usual morning stroll along English Bay.
We hit the dog beach...
and then I took him to George Wainborn Park to dry-off.
Apparently, Ann lives on top of Gus' head!  Hehe...
What does his dog eyes see?
He's loving the breeze today!
"G" is for "Gus" and it's Good enough for me!
Gus & Gum
In the afternoon, I attended the UBCP meeting for background performers...
and so did Gus!
We had a really good turn-out today with a lot of pissed-off members!  Haha!
This called for a Mojito from The Keg!
Check out how professional they are at this restaurant.  They have a portable cellphone charger for any of their customers to use!
Who ordered the Escargot?
Laila and Niko did!
One Rib Steak and...
a Creme Brûlée for me!
The duo ordered a trio of mini-desserts!
