How Does Your Garden Grow?

Alesha wanted t0 check-out the gardens at UBC today, so we went to the Nitobe Memorial Garden this afternoon. They've got a little tea house here too, but you can't go inside. You just have to admire it from the outside. It's so beautiful here. It kind of reminded me of Mr. Miyagi's backyard. You can see Badger at the foot of the bridge in this one. I can imagine Lila meditating here. We spotted a Koi. And it was big one too! Here come the ducks. I thought there was going to be a confrontation between them, but nothing happened. The ducks just grazed the top of the fish and came closer to me. It seemed like they were trying to figure-out what Alesha and I were talking about. LOL! Later, we walked over to the UBC Botanical Garden. Alesha wanted to see if I could fit into this tree, so I went in. It was the Badger's turn now. "Help me..." We couldn't believe they charged us for entrance into this garden. It was like strolling through Stanley Park, but you have to pay. We were not impressed to say the least. "No Badger." Entering the tunnel to get to the other side... Alesha's falling! Oh, they've got a sundial here! I took a closer look, but still couldn't tell what time it was. "Smell the flowers." While walking around the trails, we bumped into Mike! He works the rope-climbing course here when he's not being stuntman. Alesha and the amphitheatre... and this fountain thingy. It was impressive looking. The Badger was fascinated with it. I was too. "Shaken, not stirred." I found a rocket launcher! "FIRE!!!" Enough of my antics, I had to return the street post back into place. In the evening, I met-up with Lisa and Angela at the Railway Club! Add another Angela to the mix! Look who I found in the back alley! There were a bunch of bands playing here tonight. Hey, there's a choo-choo train running above us! This guy looks good as a frontman. Hey man, that blondie grabbin' her dude's butt! I'd like to grab that butt though. ;)

An Afternoon on Bowen Island

"Good morning, Betty Boop!" Our afternoon getaway was off to a fabulous start! PBO Alert!!! Too bad she wasn't taking the same ferry as us. :( Some shots of Horseshoe Bay... Here comes our ride to Bowen Island! Angela and Alesha... Babes on waves... Some more sightseeing for the Aussie! Big thanks to Angela for driving!!! That's the new Coastal Renaissance ferry! Check it out! It's an East-Indian biker gang! The girls with the Canadian flag... A PBO with her mother... Blown by the wind... Alesha's behind the camera now. Angela's turn taking shots... We're almost there! I spy... a doggie! Disembarking... Angela met a Labradoodle here! Everyone getting directions... Oh, they've got giant Chess here! Angela wanted me to get a shot of these crows, but I was too slow and two flew away before I was able to snap it. Angela on the boardwalk... Joined by Alesha... Admiring the bamboo... We were all hungry, so we decided to have lunch at Doc Morgan's Restaurant & Pub. We were having a lot of fun using Angela's DSLR camera! "Cheers!" "Huh?!?" Club Sandwich for Alesha... Angela and I shared an order of Fish n' Chips. When we were done eating, Alesha bought some Lemonade from these girls. Time to take a stroll towards Killarney Lake. Ducks! Some shots of the scenery here... "Hi Angela!" There goes Alesha doing her thing. More ducks! Angela likes taking photos too! "No Badger." These guys are used to following people. They probably get fed by the locals. A Canadian Goose... Swan! See, they were following us! We continued down the trail. She's up to her old tricks again. "Hello." We finally reached Killarney Lake. Angela and the lake... There's a lot of lily pads here! The picnic area... The washrooms... Ready to rock. This lake is pretty. "Where to next, Miss Navigator?" "Beautiful," I said. Back on the trail... This dog looked like a wolf from far away. Dog with a stick... That's a good dog! We stopped to take some more shots of the scenery. Angela's camera takes good photos! See? The marsh... What are these guys doing here?!? C'est moi! "You Gotta Be Here!" I've got a big head. "Should we head back now?" Cue Angela's photo shoot. Man, I like her camera! Angela showing her booty... The slightly open mouth pose... My mermaid photo... Back at the boardwalk... I met another doggie! Time for some Ice Cream! The rest of the people had the same idea. Gratitude to Alesha for shouting for our desserts!!! I better start licking mine too! It was time to take our ride back to the city. The babes chillin'... That ferry is heading towards Vancouver Island. That was fun you guys!!! Nice Porsche! On the way home, Angela and I spotted a PBO shopping. LOL!
