Brad's Amazing Race 2009

It was time for the Lower Mainland Amazing Race, so we were all at Brad and Doreen's this morning. Monica, Oliver, and Camille... Dave and Kyle were back this year. Add my partner, Shellaine to the mix. And now, me! A little chit-chat before the race... Camille and Jamie were one of the newbie teams. Brad and Doreen's dog, Fergus... He kind of reminds me of Chewy. Here's Brad giving us the low-down. Some group shots of this year's competitors... Riding the Bear Creek Park Train was one of our events. One of our other stops was the antique carousel at Deer Lake Park. Apparently, this thing costs a million dollars! A vintage ride, that's for sure. Doreen's parents waiting around for the rest of the competitors to arrive...  I stopped taking photos after this stop because we were in such a rush.  Here's Shellaine displaying one of her many wounds from the paintball event. I got it in the neck!   Someone said it looked like a nasty hickey. High five... After all the competitors arrive at the end, we all have dinner together. Another newbie team... These guys rode in the Canuck mobile. This team brought the vodka!  After the race, not during. The up and comers... Time to present the trophy... Oh yeah, we won!!! Finally... We got the cup! Dinner is served!

Critical Mass!!!

Yup, it was time to ride again!

But this time, it was with Critical Mass!  

It's the independently organized bicycle rally that takes place on the last Friday of every month in Vancouver.  

Karen and I planned on attending this almost a year ago!  

It was our first time, so we were total virgins to this.

I just loved checking out all the bikes, so I could get ideas on how to customize mine more.

More and more people began to arrive.

The designated meeting place was at the Vancouver Art Gallery.

Another awesome day to go riding!

We were so amazed by the amount of people that participated.

We just couldn't get over it!

Karen and I didn't know it at the time, but apparently Fatty and Misha led the pack for awhile and directed our route!

It was so much fun, we're already planning on attending the next one!!!
