Simon's Birthday

Time for Boris and I to get some breakfast in White Rock. We decided to eat here. Tracycakes Bakery Cafe... They've got a nice view from here! See?!? A Tuna Melt Panini with Soup... and a Lemon Meringue Pie for dessert! It's like a work of art! Boris and I ordered the exact same thing to eat! LOL! Later in the afternoon, I attended Simon's surprise birthday party... at Lucky Strike Bowling! Tara and Todd... Love the socks! Happy Birthday Simon!!! Group shot... It's time to bring on the heat! "Are you looking at me?!?" Press 'PLAY' on "Little Green Bag" as we walk towards Simon and Marie's apartment. ;-) This is how you take a walking photo Tara. Better, but now I'm in a shadow! I give up. :-( "Who the fuck's there?!?" Oh, it's Mallory! "Say, 'hello,' to my little friend." "You're gonna get it Fat Cat!"
Gratitude to Simon and Marie for having us over!!! In the evening, I went over to the PNE. I was surrounded by hordes of Filipinos! They were all here to watch a concert. They were all over the place! Hey, these guys aren't Filipino! LOL! Derek and Elizabeth met-up with me to watch... Lea Salonga! The crowd was so excited to see her and she did not disappoint. She sang a lot of favourites from all the musicals she was in and a few Disney songs to boot. Such a great singer! Hey look, it's my brother from another mother, Ron! LOL!
Big thanks to Tara and Todd for the free entrance ticket and gratitude to Derek and Elizabeth for the ride home!!!

My First Mariners Game & More!

Boris invited me to come along with Vin and him to a Seattle Mariners game today, so I was excited to say the least! But first we stopped by the Snohomish County Airport/Paine Field to visit the Future of Flight Aviation Center & Boeing Tour! I've never even heard of this place until Boris mentioned it to me last week. Let's see what this place is all about. They had a bunch of stuff on display in their gallery. "Whoa!!!" The only thing that sucked is that we couldn't bring cameras on the actual tour. It was probably due to some trade secrets they didn't want to divulge. ;-) They had a lot of models on display for sale at the souvenir shop! You just had to know I was going to get one. LOL! Even more! Captain Deuma... Damn, this thing is big! It's like a giant shark fin. Look at this engine. I can't imagine trying to fix it. I'd hate to get sucked into it. "You try it Boris!" The fuselage of the new Boeing 787... Re-enacting a scene from "Commando"... "Hold that thing up Boris!" "Okay, let's fly this plane!" "Ghostrider... This is Voodoo 1. We have a fire in our starboard engine!" "I'm gonna attempt to put it out by diving to a lower altitude. I'll need your help Boris to bring her back up." "The fire's out! We need to climb up! She's fighting me. Let's bring this bitch up Boris!" We survived. Phew! Time to bring her back to the hanger. "Push Vin!" "Boris, get out of there! You're going to get crushed!" There's the Dreamlifter! It looks like a giant beluga whale. Apparently, the Boeing Everett Factory is the largest building in the world by volume! The facility can encompass the equivalent of 12 Empire State Buildings! It's the structure to the far left in this photo. Panning across the Paine Field Airport... There's all the completed planes ready to be picked-up by its customers. I really enjoyed this tour. I found it very informative and interesting. It's certainly worth taking.
Good call Boris! Vin the photographer...
You can see Mount Baker from here!
I fell in love on this tour, but it was time to blow this popsicle stand. ;-)
Of course, we had to stop by the Seattle Premium Outlets to do some shopping. It was hella busy in here! While chomping on a protein bar, I met another Vancouverite who was heading to the game as well! Apparently, Trevor is a Chicago White Sox fan though. LOL! When we finally arrived in Seattle, we stopped by Pioneer Square. Another one of Boris' suggestions, Bill Speidel's Underground Tour... Vin, Boris, and the totem pole... Vin and his new Wayfarers... This city was named after Duwamish Chief Seattle. The tour underground begins... There sure was a lot of crap lying around here. See? A crapper! Here's a skylight made up of glass containing manganese which gives it its purple colour. The view from a smelly alley... Fire escapes look cool! Posing with a fixie... Apparently, this door that our tour guide is standing in front of used to be a window on the third storey! After all the city's reconstruction, the original front door ended-up below the streets, two levels down. LOL! More interesting stories to be heard... I spotted a PBO on our tour. She was the only one in our group. :-( There were a lot of historical photos on our route. An old school bathroom... We're almost near the end of our tour. This used to be a bathtub. "Hey, that's one of the skylights!" So much discarded junk lying around here! LOL!
The experience was interesting enough.
We were finally on our way to the big game! We had our game faces on. Along the route, there were a bunch of street vendors selling food and souvenirs. That's the CenturyLink Field, home of the Seattle Seahawks! We finally arrived at Safeco Field! Time to get in! We're in! Got to give Ichiro's nuts a rub for good luck. ;-) We arrived just in time to catch the singing of "The Star-Spangled Banner". Man, this place is huge! We were in total awe. Vin came prepared and brought an extra baseball glove for me! :-) I finally got a chance to wear my Mariners jersey. We were all ready to catch a foul ball. LOL! Panning across Safeco Field... Insert me! That's a big scoreboard! Insert me again! The three amigos... Awww... thanks. This stadium has a convertible roof. Game on! More panning... Time for a walk around this place. This is only my 2nd MLB game I've ever attended! Nice view! Insert Boris. The sun is setting. I don't think there's a bad seat in this place. Oh, there's the big guy! Ichiro Suzuki!!! He's the Mariners' main man! LOL! I wonder who these Japanese girls are taking photos of. ;-) Vin and Boris in the house! Tag, I'm in! There's so many people here! Oh, spotted... a PBO! Actually, there were tons here, but I've already taken enough photos on this trip. LOL! Hey, Dennis was here too! Damn, Chicago scored a couple while we were walking around. Vin looks on... I don't like this score. :-( Boris doesn't like it either. Oh boy! Ichiro is up at bat! He tried his best, but we still lost the game. :-( We stayed a bit after the game to take a few more photos. If only there was a ball. :-( Even though we lost the game, we still had fun. See? Double impact... Emulating the players... A sign of things to come... On our way home, we dropped by a Claim Jumper for a late night dinner. Look at the size of their Country Fried Steak! Boris' Fish Tacos... I got the Ribeye, baby! LOL! Vin surgically removed the meat from all the breading.
Big thanks to Vin for driving and gratitude to Boris for the invite!!! Earlier, I said I fell in love on the Boeing Tour. I fell for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner! This passenger jet is going to revolutionize air travel as we know it. It's constructed of mostly carbon materials which means it'll use less fuel because of its light weight! The passenger windows are larger than that of normal planes and they fade from dark to clear just by the touch of your fingers. The interior cabin provides ambient light which coincides with the destination's timezone to help passengers adapt easier to the time differential when they arrive. Look at this plane's wing configuration. I fucken love this jet! The next time I fly, if it's not a Boeing, I'm not going! ;-)
