Conquering the Lion

Popa Fatt and I bussed it over to Lions Bay this morning,
all ready to hike the Lions!
On the way, we passed by a firehall where we met Maggie! She belonged to one of the firefighters.
And so it begins...
"Hey, wait for me!"
Waterfall!
"What do your elf-eyes see?"
Oh wow!
This bridge is new!
Time to hydrate...
It's been over a decade since I last hiked this trail!
Must learn balance.
The tree on a fallen tree...
And there they are, the Lions!
This has got to be one of the most beautiful hikes in British Columbia!
The views along the trail are absolutely stunning!
Popa Fett and Fatty...
= Popa Fatt!
"Beautiful British Columbia! You Gotta Be Here!"
What the Hell, there's still snow here?!?
The warriors are not deterred by this! We continue along the path...
PBOs approaching!
This camel pack has really come in useful since buying it for our trip to Bootleg Canyon.
Game faces are on!
"Lion, we come for you!!!"
Posing on the Lion's back...
The gargoyle sees his target...
It was time to scale this thing.
This is some advanced hiking shit! "Fear is the mind killer..."
Fuck yeah! We did it!!!
Check out this view!
There's the east peak.
You basically have an unobstructed 360 degree view from up here!
Fatty admired the vantage point.
Time for lunch.
We had this peak to ourselves for a good half-hour!
Popa Fett and the Exalted Warrior...
"Drago!!! Drago!!!"
Time for me to snack.
You see that fold in my belly? This is why I try to hit the gym everyday. ;-)
The view is so incredible from the summit!
Popa Fatt and the horizon...
The conquerors...
What the Hell?!?
There's shit on my lens!
Maxin' and relaxin'...
Hey, there's a tree up here?!?
Fatty looks on...
I look on...
Vancouver is over there!
There's the Lower Mainland.
Lila the warrior princess...
Fatty and Lila reenact what happened on this peak a year ago.
"Yes! I do!"
That's Enchantment Lake!
A couple more poses before our descent...
Some people chicken-out to climb this peak, so just stay over there.
It's not recommended to climb the east peak due to its difficulty.
Hey, we can see our houses from here!
Time to head down. :-(
This is the advanced part.
Is that Conan the Barbarian up there?!?
Oh, it's Fatty!
While we were still up here,
a helicopter flew right beside us!
They came so close to us, the sound was thunderous! I guess that's one way to see the peaks.
Seriously, you can't beat this hike with its attractive sights and all!
The Grouse Grind sucks ass compared to this!
Fatty went over to a stream to fill-up on some glacier water.
Now, he's tossin' off. ;-)
Until next year, stay tall Lions!
On the way back, we dipped our feet into one of the many streams along the way.
Lila decided to hike back in the nude. ;-)
A couple of Half Moon poses for...
a half moon. ;-)
After our 8 hour journey, we came down in time to catch this wonderful sunset!
Fatty decided to put his feet up...
while I called for a cab to Horseshoe Bay.
I was so tired from our hike, I fell asleep on the bus ride back to Vancouver.
Looks like I've got a doppelgänger on this bus. ;-)
When we arrived downtown, we decided to have dinner at Stepho's!
We each ordered their signature dish, Roasted Lamb. It was fucken delicious! What a great way to end our day!!! :-)
