The New Vancouver Convention Centre

The MOMMIETRON wanted to go downtown to grab a passport application today.  On the way there, we took some time to get a shot of her with the cherry blossoms behind her. After we picked-up the forms from the office at Sinclair Centre, we decided to take a look at the new Vancouver Convention Centre. Check out those crazy ass escalators! They remind of the set at the Granville Street Skytrain Station. So, this is where all our money went? Quite impressive to say the least. The MOMMIETRON and the Ed Rocker... We had limited access due to a restricted convention in progress. But we were still in awe of what we saw. Spotted a babe... Out with the old convention centre... And in with the new!

It's CLASSIFIED

Here's Bill (Keystone Extrasjust about to enter the North Shore Studios this morning!  Sorry guys, but this particular production is a little strict on the photography, so I didn't bother taking too many photos today.  I just didn't want to risk getting sent home early. But the food's got to be on the blog though.  There's Steve (Double Agents Talenteating across from me!  We shared a picnic table on our lunch break.  Production: Click the entry's title.  Type of Call: 30 Background.  Length of Call: 12 1/2 hours.

A Ride Downtown

It was a sunny Sunday. I took advantage of it by riding my new bike downtown to visit Fatty and Lila. I just love this ride! Popa Fatt enjoying a snack above the law courts... This was a nice place to chill. Lila posed for a few photos while we were on the overpass in Pacific Centre. Such a good model... Fatty got into the mix. Later when we returned to the apartment, Lila's sister, Analore joined us. "Stop smoking, Lila!"

Still Hanging with Alma & Fred

It was the last day for Fred and Alma to run a few errands in town, so we were out and about again. First we dropped by Sweet William's Dessert Shop. Thanks to Jennifer (one of my agents at Keystone Extras), we found out that this place makes pavlova too. But we had to admit, the ones from Sweet Carrie's are better. Then we stopped by this place on Robson Street to buy some Pocky for Alma and Fred's friends in High Prarie.  These treats aren't available up there. The two of us also tried the crepes they were serving here. Alma and Fred crossing Robson Street...
Check out the line-up for... JAPADOG!!! I heard so much of this hot dog stand, I thought I'd experience it for the first time with this couple. Fred paid for everything though. There it is! Their Terimayo sauce totally rocks!  This is definitely going to be a regular stop for me. Our last errand was to find a dolphin keychain for Alma's friend, so we went to the Vancouver Aquarium's souvenir store.  But all the keychains we found looked so flimsy and expensive, so she didn't getting any. "Mmmnnnhuuunnn..." Some more sightseeing at Stanley Park, but in the day this time... A silhouette of two BFFs? Fred...
Fred and I on the steps...
Another silhouette shot...
These shots were taken by Alma.
Fred and Alma, the habitants of High Prarie...
"Yeah, baby!!!"
We dropped Fred off at the hotel, so he could watch his Flames lose.  Then Alma and I took the car to attend the MOMMIETRON's church's banquet.
Alma with the MOMMIETRON... MOMMIETRON and son...
A vegetarian's feast... I'm missing Dr. Kleider's cooking right about now. Time for some presentations... A lot of Filipinos here! Brother Greg and Sister Phoebe... "Eat Alma, Eat." An impressive musical performance with bamboo instruments... "More, more!!!" demanded the MOMMIETRON, after the number.  Here's wishing Alma and Fred a safe trip home.  It definitely was fun having you guys back in our city!!!
