25th Annual Island 22 Horse Trials

This morning, I went down to YVR to pick-up our car rental from Budget.
If you don't have a Fastbreak and RapidRez account with them, you'll have to wait in this long line-up! It's free to join.  Thank goodness I did.  ;-)
Here's our baby for the day, a Mustang GT Convertible!  It's similar to the one we rented in Las Vegas, but this one has way more power.
We finally made it after all the fucken traffic on the highway.
Here's our man, Dr. Nick putting on his riding boots!  He's competing in this 3-Day event.
There's Suzy Girl!
LOL!  Ali and her former Kleider Men...
Lila put the vanity mirror to good use.
Our horses, Augit and Garrow's Law!
Posing with Gary...
He's going to be jumping today!
Here's Augit!
Elizabeth and Jess with our boys...
Time to bring Gary and Augit back to the paddock.
Oh man, there were so many horses here!
There we go.
Finally, some time to chill.

Whoa!
"Who do we have here?"
It's Binkers...
the Corgi!  Fatty reminded of Ein the Data Dog when we saw this little guy.
This was my first time going to an event like this.
It's all because of Fatty and his family.  :-)
There goes our data!  ;-)
Okay, it's time for Dr. Nick to hop-on.
Gary's a pretty big horse!
"Oh, hi there!"
The Island 22 Horse Trials is an annual event held here in Chilliwack.
Dr. Nick just happens to be one of the leaders in his division after yesterday's results.
Our Horse Lord and King...
It's quite exciting!
The Kleiders and the Popa...
Oh no!  Augit is sad because Gary left him.
He just kept calling for Gary the whole time!
Time to make our way over to the Cross Country field.
The others continued to walk,
but I found a quicker way to the show!  ;-)
Ahhh, this is the boat launch area into the Fraser.

Let's go to the other side of the road now.
Dr. Nick told us to watch from here because he goes through this area twice.
There's a lot of people here!
There goes one jumper and it's a lady!  ;-)

Here comes Dr. Nick!
Just like his dad, Fatty fell off this bike doing a little stunt.  LOL!
I want to flick this stump of a jump all the way into outer space!
LOL!  Lila didn't want to get to close to the spiders on this post.
Dr. Nick and Gary were fine after their spill, but their pride took a little beating.  :-(
We decided to drown our sorrows in the nearby lake.

"Go Fatty, go!!!"

Arise Prince Namor!
"Woman, wash me.  I must be clean for tonight's feast!"
"Yes, my Lord."
Cute!  Lila met horse named Sushi!
Awww, our Suzy Girl wants my food.
Shadowfax?!?
Poor Gary...  He suffered a few scrapes to his legs from that stupid stump.  :-(
This horse performed well today.  ;-)
I like the Stanger.
Just $28.50 CAD for the day.
Split amongst four people, it's not too shabby.
Uh oh, Lila fell in love with this pony because...
it had blue eyes.
Dinner was being served, so we cut across the field to the party.
Jess and the line-up of hungry people...
Binkers and his crew...
Dr. Nick bought us all dinner!

Thank you so much and Happy Birthday!!!  :-)
A trophy would have made a nice present.  :-(
Garth (right) actually joined us when we sang "Happy Birthday" to Dr. Nick!  He also bit me earlier because I was coming to close to his mom's car.  LOL!
Eventually, it was time to head back to the big city.
Nicholas pointed-out that our car's side-mirrors had an LED projection of a mustang when we opened the doors!
It's a pretty cool car and it seemed fitting for today's event.  ;-)

Big thanks to Dr. Nick and Elizabeth for inviting us!!!  :-)
