2011 Sun Run

Yeah, I finally gave-in and bought a photo from our recent Vancouver Sun Run. Can you spot me and the Popa Fatt?

2011 Sun Run

It was my second year in a row to run this 10k race! Somewhere in this crowd are Lila, Fatty, and I. LOL! Lila finished the race at 57:57! Not bad for a first timer.

Way to go Popa Fett!!! 48:39 was my time! I beat last year's result by 9:55. After the race, I ended-up at my gym to use the sauna and shower. ;-)

Hey, I just realized my time is a rearrangement of the numbers on my bib! While riding through Stanley Park, I realized that the trees by the tennis courts are homes to a bunch of Herons! Look at all those nests! It must be mating season for them because they were honking like crazy! Close by the rose garden, I took photos of the cherry blossoms! They were in such abundance here. More flowers... I need to rest now. ;-)

I've Got My Number!

On my way to picking-up my 2011 Sun Run kit this afternoon, I came across the Roger Neilson statue outside of Rogers Arena. Yup, that's Captain Video. Inside the Sun Run tent... My bib is somewhere in there. While walking around the tent, I ran into Winny at the Oasis stand! It's been awhile since our karaoke days at Boston Pizza. I tried to fill-up this bag with as many free stuff as I could. ;-) I've upgraded to a green bib this year. I can't wait for this weekend to come!
