Alouette Lake We Go!

We met-up with Allison...

and friends for a day at the lake!

We brought our floaties too!  The unicorn is ours.  Hehe...

June's a great swimmer now.

However, I did test out her PFD just to be sure.  She didn't need it though.

She stands on guard for me.

A Sunset with Sarah

Haley Bobo texted me this evening and invited me out for some ice cream at Rain or Shine!  :-)

Then we walked down to the Hadden Park Dog Beach to watch the sunset.

We both took photos of the sun going down.

There were a bunch of stand up paddle boarders passing by.

The only one missing from this moment was Gus.  :-(

The sun finally left, so it was time to go home.

Deep Cove Visit

Gus and I drove over to Deep Cove this morning to visit Parry Bobo (Showbiz Management) and friends on set!

Ah yes, here's the cover of Thai (Showbiz Management) and Ann's (Showbiz Management) romance novel!  LOL!
"Too busy on her phone, she never realized true love was standing right next to her."  ;-)

Bobos united!  (with Gus' bum bum)  Haha!

Our friends eventually had to work, so Gus and I rented a stand-up paddle board...

and chilled on the water for a couple of hours.  :-)

Gus and I ended our day by watching the sun go down at the Quay.  If you ask me, I think we took advantage of this day-off quite well.  ;-)

I guess Muffin was a little too tired to wish me a "Happy Birthday" today.  Haha!

Someone was doing a little SUPing this afternoon.  So cute!

While Gus and Megan were on the water, I drove down to the Trout Lake Farmers Market...

to meet Naomi, Malcolm, Shawn, and Sarah.

I also bumped into Tim and Georgia here!

After the market, the Haleys and I spent the day in Kitsilano.

Gratitude to Shawn and Sarah for the ice cream!!!  :-)

A Day in Deep Cove

 When you go to Deep Cove, you have to stop by Honey Doughnuts & Goodies.  ;-)

This is what they're known for!  Don't even bother with the other doughnuts.  Their Honey Doughnuts are the best!

Big thanks to Viki for brunch!!!  :-) 

After our meal, we hiked the Baden-Powell Trail to burn-off those calories.  ;-)

I promised Viki some Stand Up Paddleboarding this summer.

I showed her the quick way down from here.

We rented a couple of boards from Deep Cove Canoe & Kayak,

but we could only use them for an hour because they were holding...

a paddle race today!

LOL!  I was wondering why all these people were coming in.

Viki and I enjoyed some gelato on the pier as we waited for our bus to arrive.

I took the time to shoot some photos of our surroundings.

Woohoo, caught him!

Oh, they're starting to line-up!

Apparently, there were two races, one short course and one long course.

All vessels had to be paddle driven.

They had a good turn-out of participants for this race!

Deep Cove Canoe & Kayak held the race.

I think they were all racing for bragging rights.  LOL!

It's pretty awesome.

They're off to Jug Island and back.

This poor guy capsized twice at the start line!  LOL!  He's apparently fast enough to win the race though.

Back in the city, Viki and I had dinner at Sala Thai!  The food's great here!  :-)

We finished-off our day with a late showing of "The Conjuring".
