Remembering Gus

It was a year ago today that I lost my best friend to cancer.

Not a day goes by that I don't think of my Gus Bus.  He was such an awesome dog and he followed me everywhere.  I still miss him so much!

Here's to you my sweet boy.  I know you're having fun up there.

I love you, Gus!!!  :-)

Brunch & Shop

I'm not the only one that misses Gus.  Elmer and Smayre miss him too...

because he was their ride!  :-)

The MOMMIETRON and I went to Jinya Ramen Bar this morning for some Spicy Creamy Vegan Ramen!  It's so fucken good!!!  :-)

After our meal, we walked around Kerrisdale and stumbled upon Tokya Collectibles.

I ended-up buying a couple sharp shooters.  ;-)

Goodbye Gus

Megan and I had to let go of our best friend today.

Gus' recent bouts of weakness were due to a number of malignant tumours on his internal organs.  We were devastated when the doctor told us her diagnosis and that there was nothing we could do for him.

However, they were able to stabilize Gus' condition, so we could spend one more day with him.  We brought him over to my mom's place and then to Megan's parents' house for a final farewell to all his family.

Megan and I slept beside him until the next morning.

The following day, we took Gus for one last walk through Bridgman Park and then I spoiled him with some cheeseburgers.

I've never met a more loyal and loving dog like Gus and because of that I tried to bring him everywhere with me.  I literally lost my shadow today.

Words can't possibly express what Megan is going through right now.  She basically was robbed of her life partner far too soon.

Gratitude to the kindness shown by Dr. Karen Harvey and the staff at the Vancouver Animal Emergency & Referral Centre.

Eternal thanks to Megan and her family for letting me be a part of Gus' life.

Gus Got a Haircut

My good boy got a haircut today!

He kind of looks like a poodle right now.  LOL!

The poor guy was a little sick from something he ate last Monday, but he's back to functioning at 100% again.  :-)

We went by his grandparents to celebrate Bill's birthday tonight.

Full-Time Work (Season 2: Day 69)

Look who came to work with me today, Gus (Lucas Talent)!  He may have found a new hairstylist in (First Assistant Hair Stylist) Masouda.  Hehe...

Another Desk Robot

I picked-up a Smart R2-D2 from Walmart the other day.  He's so awesome and I can even control him with my iPhone!  :-)

Gus is not too impressed though.  Haha!

My Sidekick

I picked-up Gus last night after work, so he can stay with us over the weekend.  I love how he can sniff-out the babes!  Hehe...

It can also be quite tiring though.  ;-)

A Sunday Stroll

I got to spend some time with Megatron and Gus this afternoon!  Megan is leaving for Switzerland this coming Wednesday, so Gus is going to be staying at his grandparents for the next couple weeks.  I get him on weekends though.  :-)

Back in Vancouver

I thought about Gus so much on our holiday, I couldn't wait to see him when we got back!  :-)

He came to the bank with me this afternoon...

and then we hung-out at his place because it started to rain.  Hey, we both have beards now!  Haha!  :-)

New Year's Eve 2017

My bodyguard slept-over last night and watched me poo this morning.  LOL!

We went for a walk through the falling snow this afternoon!  :-)

Gus wore a different coat today.  ;-)

In the evening, a bunch of us went over to Rhiannon and Rory's new place...

for some games and movies.

Eventually, midnight hit...

and it was time to ring in the new year of 2017!
