Running It Off

Look! The MOMMIETRON got her third pair of eyeglasses delivered to her today! I only had to pay Cleary Contacts for the shipping because the frame and the lenses were free through a special Canada Day offer! Since she was away last weekend, the MOMMIETRON decided to take me out this afternoon. I got another birthday freebie, but this time at IHOP. The Rooty Tooty Fresh 'N Fruity Combo was on them today!
Thanks for coming out, Mom!!! Later in the evening, I tried running off all the food I ate in the past few days with a jog around Stanley Park with Lila and Fatty. It was a beautiful day to do it too! It sure beats the treadmill at the gym. Although, I did go to the gym after to shower-off. ;-) I have to admit, it's one of the better parts of the day for me. LOL!
Thanks for the Protein Shake, Popa Fett!!!

It's My Birthday!!!

Commence Operation: Freebie! You'd be surprised at how many places in the city offer discounts and freebies on your birthday! Vera's Burger Shack gave me a $10 coupon to use for today! I ended-up paying only $3.67 for this meal! When I arrived downtown, I was surprised to see these tables and chairs all set-up on Granville Street. It's part of the 'Viva Vancouver' Program! I worked-out and then met-up with Fatty to go to... the Greek Summer Festival! Thanks to Todd and Tara, I got to eat some Loukoumades! Marie and Simon... The only Greek in our group, Nick... Fatty... Big thanks to Louisa for buying me a Bougatsa! The group shot before we all went our separate ways...
Thanks, you guys!!! Fatty and I went by a Blenz Coffee when we got back downtown. That's what I was pointing at. Fatty noticed each person is riding the same bicycle in this painting. LOL! As long as it's your birthday, any medium-sized drink on their menu is free! Most locations honour the offer except for the one in Yaletown. When Fatty went to work, I met-up with Marife and we drove over to the Naam. The birthday offer here is your age as a percentage for the discount! Their Fettuccini Supremo smelt good and tasted great!
Thanks Marife!!! Thanks for the mosaic, Fatty!!!
Operation: Freebie still ongoing.

This Will Be My Spin Class

"One Less Car"
Since Dawnia's spin class is cancelled tomorrow because of the long weekend, I decided to make my own riding session today. Plus, I finally changed MOMO's rear-wheel to all-white, so I thought today would be a good day to de-virginize it. ;-) Kenji took a little break from work and rode around with me in Gastown. He brought me to Meat & Bread for the first time! I asked the cook, "What are you gonna do with all that crispy skin there?"
He replied, "I'm gonna put it in the sandwich."
I immediately said, "I'll have one of those too!"
It's called the Prochetta and it was good. Kenji eventually had to go back to work, so I biked over to the Lost Lagoon. MOMO and I hung around here for awhile. Once I got the call, I met-up with Fatty and Lila at Third Beach. I'm gonna have to show Lila and Fatty how to balance rocks someday. Fatburger for Fatty, Lila, and me! They bought me a Hawaiian Bacon Cheeseburger!
Thanks guys!!!

Happy Canada Day!!!

Thanks to the passes I got from Andrea last year, Karen and I were able to get into the Vancouver Art Gallery for free! After our stint of artsy fartsy, we walked over to Canada Place to see what all the fuss was about. ;-) Posing with the HMCS Algonquin in the back... That destroyer is ready to tear shit up if a riot breaks out today! LOL! Karen and the overpriced seaplane ports... "Kid, you better get outta there cuz I don't know how long I can keep this up!" Karen and the Olympic Cauldron... My turn with the flames... We're not into crowds anymore. But look, Global BC News was broadcasting from here! I heckled Chris Gailus for a bit. ;-) And I made sure to say, "hi," to Mark Madryga there on the right, typing away on his laptop. No riots here at Jack Poole Plaza. :-) Look who we bumped into, Gayle and Alphonse! Gayle's jacket reminded me of the one Captain Picard wore in the latter seasons of "Star Trek: Next Generation". ;-) Ahhh, another familiar face! Oh, I finally got a clean shot of these containers! Sarah and her family had their Crepe stand here too! Now, who the Hell is this fucken guy?!? I see this guy all over the place! I even pointed him out to Todd and Tara when we were out in Langley a few of weeks ago. He's always sportin' around a fanny pack and sunglasses. After blowing the popsicle stand, we ran into Zoe! Later in the evening, I met-up with Nick and we went out for some Steak at the Yaletown Keg! Because I got a discount card from the Vancouver Art Gallery, we paid $40 for my Prime Rib dish and Nick's Sirloin Steak! It's nice up here on the patio! Nick suggested I take a shot of the nice view from here!
