Easter Weekend Getaway (Day 4)

Since it was sunny this morning, I grabbed a couple shots of the house we were staying at this weekend. Andrea's parents were away on vacation, so we had the whole place to ourselves. Whoops! Almost forgot about Casey, she's here all the time. In the afternoon, we made our way over to Jensen Island. Andrea's Aunt Jean and her Uncle Peter built this house on their own island, a few minutes north of Kamloops! The only other house on this stretch of land belongs to their son, Jeremy and his wife, Jocelyn. The interior of the house reminded me of the homes of the Hobbits and the Elves from "The Lord of the Rings"! There was so much wood! Andrea upstairs in the games room... It felt like a gigantic tree house. It's so beautiful! A lot of family and friends came to celebrate Easter Sunday. Andrea took me for a walk around the property. Extensions were added to the house throughout the years. Andrea played fetch with Mister the Yellow Labrador. He just didn't want to give the stick back to Andrea. "Nope!" Andrea and the Jensen House... We looked around for the old trampoline that Andrea used to play with as a kid. After a bit of searching, we found it! She thought she'd tried it out for old time's sake. There she goes! Yup, it still works! "Bienvenue!" Time for dinner... Cyclops! Dave with a beer in hand... I loved the artwork displayed throughout the house! Well, well, well... What do we have here?!? "Hey, who's that dark guy?!?" It's me!!! Goodness gracious, Sandra made some pavlova!!! I seriously freaked out when I realized what she was making. Dave, Andrea, and Jocelyn... Dave and Andrea's cousin, Jeremy... Another cousin of Andrea, Shane with his wife, Angela! These two are building a house on this island as well! A line of babes: Andrea, Jocelyn, Catherine, and Angela... The finished product... This dessert was very popular today! I can't get enough of this stuff! Check out the chair Andrea was sitting on! I just had to get a shot with Sandra, the Kiwi who made our pavlova! Doggies!!! This one was really cute. Jocelyn and the sun... Dave and Andrea chillin'... Hey, Jocelyn did exactly what I did. She ate a spoonful of whipped cream, but with some strawberries! Aunt Jean with her niece... That's Uncle Peter on the front steps of the shed. The youngest dragonslayer... As we were leaving the island, Dave spotted this huge ass bird. It looked like a type of Crane. There it goes! Gratitude towards the Jensen Clan for having us over for Easter dinner!!!
